We had the good fortune of connecting with Carla Halls and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carla, what makes you happy? Why?
It makes us happy not only when customers give feed back, but also when they return to support our small business over and over again. We have have customers that make it their mission to find us no matter what. If we are not out at the markets, they are asking to meet us at our makerspace to get products. We love all of our customers.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are the cactus beauty bar. We create natural soap, body butter, candles, oils, scrubs and more. This journey has come with prayers, tears, hope, and more prayers. our biggest challenge that we face is the lack of capital. We are proud of the the products that we design. They set us apart from most companies due to their beneficial properties and not just their scents. We aim to help our customers achieve their skin glow goals.

One challenge that we face at TCBB is that most of the monies that is gained from sales are then used to purchase more raw materials.

One thing we have learned along this journey is that we must stay stocked and ready, with products. You must always be ready for great opportunities that come along.

We want the world to know that we create quality products that are designed to help to aid in the healing of skin naturally.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Cactus Beauty Bar is a small woman owned business. I will like shout out husband (Brodrick Halls) for all of his support . With out him TCBB would not be able to grow and expand. He is the muscle and the motivator behind the cactus. I will also love to shout out my parents who are the our number 1 cheerleaders. Even thought this list can go on on, I would like to shout out Ki Boyd who is TCBB’s ride or die.
