We had the good fortune of connecting with Carette Lawrence and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carette, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I absolutely love traveling. I was introduced to traveling when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I started my business because I wanted to help people see the world that I saw and fell in love with. This business has allowed me to help others experience different places, people and cultures.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am mostly proud that I can assist in showing others the world outside of their city, county, or state. I am where I am today because I offer services that I use myself. I take pride in my business. Being where I am now was not easy, but my persistence allowed me to be successful. I also am blessed to have an amazing mentor. My mentor, Marissa, practically held my hand from the start of my business and is still holding it. She has created a platform that has helped me and others achieve our goals in this business. Due to her words of encouragement, and trainings, she has allowed me to overcome any challenges I have had. The biggest lesson I have learned along the way is to value myself and the services I provide because I am amazing at what I do. I would like the world to know never wait for someone else to see the world. Book that flight, vacation, or weekend getaway. There is so much more to the world than what we see on television. My ultimate goal is to provide that experience to everyone I come into contact with.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a personal shoutout to my mother. She is who introduced me to my first flight out of state and out of the country. She allowed me to see the world early on. She instilled in me that experiences are priceless. As I became older, I now understand that you cannot put a price tag on a lifetime of experiences and the exposure to this Earth.
