We had the good fortune of connecting with Caprice Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caprice, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is my ability to reach people; in particular women. I can relate to their issues, their stress and their life in general. My brand is about reaching women right where they are and giving them a reason to breathe, release and relax in an environment and space that was created just for them. Every woman deserves a little me time, time to really focus on themselves.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Honey Pot is a wellness and maternity day spa that is geared towards the everyday women, the exhausted mom, the women who have experienced back to back life frustrations and need a moment to let their hair down. My holistic journey began in 2016 when I sought out holistic solutions for fertility and womb health. I had experienced several miscarriages myself and I knew there had to be a better way to serve women like me. So, I set off on my holistic journey through prayer and discovery. A good friend of mine introduced me to vaginal Steaming and from there my fire for women’s health was lit. I became a certified vaginal steam practitioner in 2018 and later a certified body sculpting specialist, specializing in Lipo Cavitation and wood therapy. In 2019 I became a certified Doula and a P.A.I.L (Pregnancy and Infant Loss) and fertility advocate. This journey of building my business has not always been easy simply because there was no one in my area at the time doing what I do nor was there any business models to compare my vision to; I was simply building on faith. Many people never heard of vaginal steaming or body sculpting so I spent most of my time educating my audience. I literally began my business in a hotel suite and invited women to come and learn more about vaginal and womb health. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is that your ideal client are the people who can relate to your story but they may not be related to you and you have to be ok with that. Your ideal client may not be your family. Secondly, you have to meet your clients where they are by being yourself, offering excellent customer service and serving your clients from the heart; these things go a long way and will always result in repeat customers,

What I want the world to know about Honey Pot and my story is that God can literally take your trials and turn them into triumphs. Never in a million years did I think that I would be helping women relax, restore and rejuvenate themselves in my very own spa. Every day, I get to encourage and uplift women, What I want the world to know is that Honey Pot is not just a day spa but we are a place that cares.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friends were visiting the area I would probably take them downtown, We have several shoppes and restaurants that are locally owned. First we would visit the Kaviar Beauty Bar to get our makeup done because who doesn’t like a fresh beat then we would probably go to Vibez for brunch and then shop at a local boutique called Chic Culture. Then we would probably visit Xart to see local art and walk across to the Tubman museum to see some more. Later in the week we would visit the local mall maybe go walking in one of our local parks like the Amerson River Park which is situated along the Ocmulgee River . Macon is full of historical sites, family fun and of course tasty foods to eat,

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that have played strategic roles in my success and I would be all day if I started naming everyone but my husband Shon Thomas hands down has been a key factor getting me where I am today. Without his support I know for a fact that I would not have made it this far. I am so grateful to him for supporting my vision and dreams. I also want to thank my good friend Dr.Danielle Winfrey for the encouragement to pursue what was always in my heart. She helped me discover what was hidden.
