We had the good fortune of connecting with Candice Sinisgalli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candice, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When you own your own business, it’s definitely a challenge to find that work life balance. I won’t lie and say I’ve figured it all out yet — there are some times I stretch myself thin, but I’ve learned that the more I’m able to find that balance and recharge my own battery, I show up better in every way. It’s really important to find time for things that refill my cup and bring me joy beyond working — whether that’s spending time with friends, exercising, traveling — there’s huge value in being able to step away from my business so that I can be my best self when I’m here.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets my boutique apart from others is actually the same thing that makes me most proud and excited — the clothes! Every item is hand picked by me, and it’s easily my favorite part of owning a boutique. I love finding something super unique to bring to the store — it’s really exciting in that moment, and then again once a customer sees it and feels it too.

Business-wise, getting to where I am today has not been easy. We opened our doors just a few months before the covid pandemic, so that brought along a whole different set of challenges I didn’t prepare for. But the biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is really just to never stop learning. Truly every single day I feel like I learn something new about the business — customer relationships, trends, social media, the list goes on. There’s always something new going on so being able to adapt and grow with the changes is huge.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Easy answer here… Halcyon! It’s where my boutique is located. Halcyon is located in Alpharetta and has shops, restaurants, and activities galore. There’s always live music on the weekends, you can walk around with drinks, there’s a food hall, most shops are dog friendly — what’s not to like?? It’s really the best place to spend your Saturday.

Some of my other favorite areas: Downtown Roswell, West Midtown, and anywhere along The Beltline!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I can confidently say I would not be where I am today without the support of my family, friends, and all the other boutique owners who did it before me and gave me the inspiration!
