We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Knight and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Caleb, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Growing up and seeing not only my loved ones but also the communities around me falling ill to diseases due to habits of unhealthy eating and drinking. Not to forget taking doctor prescribed medicine to treat the habit of unhealthy consumption which leads to more illness. I want to help people be healthy and not just people but the planet. Organic fruit Juice cures and heals people and I use eco friendly products to help cure our earth. Safe to say I created this business to be a healer and help everyone.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe what separates my brand and business from most other brands is the purpose. My business is solely built on helping others by promoting health which affects us not only physically but mentally and emotional as well. I decided to go eco friendly which I feel separates my business as well. I’m most excited about building a empire that doesn’t only benefit me but the world. Things weren’t easy at all, the entire concept of my brand which is “Scarredbrand” was made based on my mental and emotional struggles. I created the brand based on the fact that people going through pain should connect and stick together through things like art, creativity, music, and also bettering ourselves as well as each other. From Scarredbrand came ScarredEarth and from There came Feng Shui Juice. On the business side it was hard starting up, there was a lack of support in my community but some important lessons I learned early on was to never give up, keep striving, and believing in the vision I have. The level of endurance needed in being a entrepreneur is unreal but it’s very much worth it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m not a party or club life type of person so I would definitely take them to more of the creative scenes and to sight see. Places like little 5 points, the Atlanta Beltline, nature trails/parks, botanical gardens, the high museum and etc. I love vegan food so I would take them to my favorite vegan places like Slutty vegan, Envegan, Mindful eatz, and Hippie hibachi. Drink wise, It’s nothing better than Feng Shui Juice.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe the world to my mom. She’s been nothing but supportive and patient with me. I wouldn’t be who or where I am without her and my grandma as well. My girlfriend Faith has stuck with me and my team FSG has been very supportive as well, especially my bro Terry. I would also like to thank everyone that has helped, supported, and encouraged me on the way and those people know who they are.
