Meet Caitlyn Mims | Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Caitlyn Mims and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caitlyn, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk. If you say that word to a group of people everyone will react different. Myself 6 years ago would have been disclosed by anything that had to do with how I defined risk. The more I grew up the more I realized every decision requires risk. If you stay in bed all day you risk hurting your relationships. If you don’t drive to that opportunity you risk losing the next one. The more I caught on to the idea that comfort doesn’t keep you from fear, but instead it allows you to soak in it, the more I began to live life. I had to face some fears, and the risks got bigger but so did the rewards. The more I was willing to challenge myself the more I was growing. It has paid off and now I am a casting coordinator for an acting studio. If you have a dream but you are scared of the risks that it will take to get there just think of the risks that will come into effect if you don’t even try. You are capable my friend. Today is your day.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an actress, and my spin could be that I am passionate about bringing A good light to Christianity in the industry. I am currently an on air host and producer for a radio show on iheartradio that is based in Los Angeles. I also work as a casting coordinator with a studio in Atlanta Georgia and I am loving it! I am working on producing my second short film as well. Covid hit my acting career pretty hard last year and a lot of my projects were postponed and canceled but the ball is rolling again and I am so excited to see what is to come!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
High museum!! You have to do the cheesy touristy stuff in my opinion so go eat at Varsity and go to the cocoa cola factory but after that go to things like where the walking dead, stranger things, and vampire diaries is filmed! If you are lucky you might catch them filming! That’s what I love to do!

@garyvee is an amazing entrepreneur who was the motivation I needed at the right time. He showed me how to get started and stay motivated. I didn’t feel so alone in figuring out the industry and he actually felt like he was for us and not just after our money.
