We had the good fortune of connecting with Caitlin Correa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caitlin, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I’ve definitely had to make sure that I am leaving enough time in the day for my family and my kids. I have 3 children and my priority is them, so I try to get most of my work done when they’re in school. I also like time blocking to get client work done. And I’ve made it a point to try to stay off of email and social media messages during the weekend.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a podcast manager and producer. I help business owners and creatives run and grow their podcasts. I started out as a virtual assistant and now have been working in the podcast space for over 2 years. It wasn’t easy getting the hang of running a business with no support but I love what I do and who I work with. I work with clients one on one who I genuinely care about. I’ve learned that you need to love what you are doing and your clients in order to really grow and sustain a successful business.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Dawson county GA right near the mountains and I would definitely take someone visiting to Amicalola State Park where you can see some beautiful scenery including a waterfall. We also live about an hour south of Helen, GA a cute little Bavarian town that my family loves. Helen has some amazing German food, a mountain coaster and the Chattahoochee river you can tube down.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When I first started out as a small business owner, I was a virtual assistant. I took a course from Micala Quinn that basically taught me everything I needed to know about starting, running and growing a virtual freelance business. Without that course and the community support it came with I don’t think I could have navigated starting a business.
