Meet Caige Phoenix | Speaker | Entrepreneur | Radio Personality at 101TKO Radio | CEO & EIC of InfluencHER Magazine

We had the good fortune of connecting with Caige Phoenix and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Caige, how does your business help the community?
I have personally experienced a tremendous amount of trauma, pain and disappointment. Persevering is my only option. What could possibly be ahead of me, could only be better than what is behind me.
I made a decision at the lowest point of my life, that I no longer wanted to live IN trauma. I then began to change everything, by changing everything! I started transforming my life while in the midst of overcoming my own trauma. My desire is to show and help women overcome trauma and transform their entire life in the process.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was born a super creative being, loving all things in the visual and performing arts. However, becoming a teenage mom prompted me in a different direction. My mother had an insurance agency, in which I worked after school. Being that my mother often stressed how much she needed my help, I decided at 18 to get my license to help her and easily have a stable job to provide for my daughter.
This, however, was not what I desired to truly do. It was not until I was in my mid-thirties that my creative inner being started fighting to break free. That was the beginning of my journey to reconnect with my gifts, find and define my purpose so that I could become who I knew who I was meant to be!
Getting to this particular place in my journey has had many challenges. I went from being a teen mom, to a young married woman, to divorced single mom of 3, to then 4 while fighting so many adversities along the way. Nonetheless, I was determined to get to a place where I knew exactly what it was that I was purposed to do.
All of these adversities have truly been a training ground to get me to where I am today. Knowing my purpose, moving forward in it and using my pain as power to help other women who are where I was.
This journey of healing, self-awareness, and pathway to entrepreneurship, has been one of the most difficult in my life. But, in the same breath, it has been the most rewarding. I have seen some very dark times and continue to encounter challenges that some days make me question everything. I want people to know, that this is OK! You won’t always feel the best about every part of your journey, but those feelings will pass, and you will succeed if you press forward.
My brands, Caige Phoenix and InfluencHER, were both birthed out of all of that pain. I help women tap into the most powerful parts of who God created them to be, so they may persevere through their adversities and have the courage to create the life they dream of living. I empower them to realize that they do not have to delay their happiness until they are “trauma free”. You can absolutely be in a process of overcoming and simultaneously LIVE your life!
InfluencHER is a lifestyle network that that mostly consisted of a digital magazine. I started this platform to create a network that was committed to helping women create a joyful, luxurious life through healing, self-love and intentional living. The last year has been quite an experience! We are transitioning the magazine to focus more on creating content that will be displayed online, radio and television. This is something you do not want to miss, so be sure to stay connected to InfluencHER!
Most recently I joined the team at 101 TKO Radio Station, located in Alpharetta. My show “UnCaiged” is about unleashing your best self and creating the life you dream of in the midst of maneuvering through your storms. The level of excitement I have for this new phase of my career is hard to put in words. I actually feel like up until this point, I was trying to figure out how my purpose translated into an actual career path. In saying that, it makes me slightly emotional to realize that at 42 after searching and doing the self-work to connect to where I was meant to be that I can finally use the term “CAREER”.
Just weeks before my 43rd birthday, I am launching my career as a radio personality and speaker. Connecting to this part of my life, is also pushing me into becoming an author. I have done co-authored projects but never told my own story. I have seen that my story, will be someone else’s survival guide. The busyness of life has kept me from turning that into books, but in taking this step in my career I am able to now see how I can accomplish that.
My life has been full of trauma, pain and disappointment. Even in the days I did not know how I would make it, my gift of being a visionary reminded me that I could. I joke that I went from being an extreme introvert to being a radio personality in less than 90 days. Even though I giggle when I say it, it is the absolute truth. It is the result of the intentional work I have done over that last couple of years to heal and better myself so that when the opportunities came, I had no fear to just JUMP.
When I decided to tag myself as The Lifestyle Architect, it was not just about beautiful things and experiences. I mean, we all want, deserve and shall have those things if we desire. This was about a woman over 40 who was weighed down by anxiety, depression, shame and self-hate. A woman who needed deeper healing and to realize that everything in her life could change if she was intentional about doing so.
I began a process of inner healing, self-discovery and began actively doing the work to completely change everything in my life that did not look the way I wanted it to look. I no longer desired to wait until I “had everything together” to actually live. I realized I could heal, grow, and LIVE at the same time. My heart’s desire is to help other women do the same.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am not from this city, but I absolutely love Atlanta! There are so many hidden gems to visit, one could find something new to explore every day. I am a foodie and an absolute addict of Taco Tuesday, so my favorite place to visit on a weekly basis is Cinco Mexican Cantina! There are several locations, but I frequent the one in Perimeter.
Forks and Flavors, Six Feet Under, 5 Church Atlanta, Esco Seafood, Blue Seafood House, Capital Grille, Bangkok Station, South City Kitchen, Dantanna’s, Mojave, STK Steakhouse, and Moustache Restaurant and Hookah Lounge are some of my preferred spots when it comes to delicious eats! You can tell I love hitting a great restaurant by how long this list is!
I am a spa snob lol, and frequent Micromi Brows and Spa in Decatur, where I am actually a Brand Ambassador. I additionally visit Renew U Lounge in Marietta, Sweathouz Infrared Sauna in Sandy Springs and Woodhouse Spa which is in Perimeter. I love getting out of the house for self-care and the spa for me is certainly a great escape.
When I get to just chill, I definitely am heading to Ponce City Market, Little Five Points, Buckhead, Avalon and there are always activities to get into when you’re just going with the vibes Downtown Atlanta.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am super grateful to have such an amazing support system! My family and friends are a tremendous part of my story, my journey and my process.
When I first began this intentional process about June of 2020, I got my hands on a book called The Identity Blueprint written by Toccara Nicole. We had been introduced by a mutual friend when she was needing someone to assist her publishing clients with visual branding work. Through the business connection we became friends and when she shared the name of the book with me, I immediately knew that I needed it. That book was like a missing puzzle piece to do the kind of deep digging I needed to trigger my transformation journey. I recommend it to EVERYONE! Toccara has become one of my very best friends and is now the COO of InfluencHER.
Without a doubt, meeting Tiana Von Johnson, was another pivotal moment for me. I met her at an event here in Atlanta, became her coaching client and then was able to develop a personal relationship with her. Through this relationship, I not only was honored last year at her event Women Doing It Big as one of 50 Women to Watch in 2022 but was asked to work on her production team. I am actually preparing for the next one which is June 3rd-5th in Newark, NJ again as a part of her production team. This has been such a great opportunity that I have been grateful to be a part of. Tiana has remained my mentor and coach, teaching me to constantly elevate myself and my brand.
Out of this relationship, I began shifting out of my introverted behavior and meeting some of the most phenomenal people because I was more comfortable networking. Through Tiana I met Chanise Gibbs, CEO of Bare Skin USA, who has been instrumental in shifting me further out of my comfort zone. She challenged me in so many ways to connect with people and put myself out there like I had not done before.
That connection put me in front of Preston Harris, CEO of Ballga Fitness, who became my personal trainer and business bestie dragging me to every networking opportunity he could find in Atlanta. He not only helped recharge my health and wellness journey but forced me to be more assertive in networking.
Just to show the power of networking, my meeting Preston led me to meet the CEO of 101 TKO Radio, Chelsea Speaks! Chelsea is such a powerhouse and I have learned so much from her and experienced a lot with her in a short time. The gratitude I have for the opportunity she has blessed me with is immeasurable. We initially met at Preston’s Master Builder Mixer and the rest is history! You see how this networking thing works though right? Lol
Last but never least, I assisted Chanise with an event, that happened to be hosted by Toyko Bradshaw. This was ahis private networking event called The Frequency. I had the opportunity to interview him, and that experience shifted something within me that allowed me to be ready for the opportunity with 101 TKO Radio.
I recently read something that said, “if someone offers you an opportunity that you do not think you are 100% ready for, say yes anyway.” I highly recommend this to everyone!
