Meet Cade & Olivia War | Architectural Designers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cade & Olivia War and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cade & Olivia, what do you attribute your success to?
The leading factor behind our own success has been finding innovative solutions that will ensure our clients’ success, whatever their project may be. If our clients aren’t winning, we aren’t either.
Although our firm is small, we offer a comprehensive range of services to accomplish this as smoothly and holistically as possible. Not only do we offer floor plan drafting, we also extend our services to include interior & exterior master planning, along with consultations and 3D conceptualizations. We’ve found that this suite of services covers virtually all of the bases to ensure our clients’ needs are met, and therefore we all enjoy mutual success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
War Design Co. was born from a place of both necessity and opportunity. Many of our clients come to us because they need a solution to a problem that isn’t being addressed by anyone else. Whether their projects are deemed too small, complicated, or niched, our clients have struggled to find someone willing to offer a helping hand with the design of their home or business.
We specialize in design that is experiential, inclusive, and meets our clients’ needs in the most functional, yet aesthetically-satisfying way. One area we feel particularly drawn to address is the lack of accessibility-focused design. Creating beautiful spaces that accommodate people with all different levels of abilities.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If friends were visiting Atlanta for a week, we’d curate a mix of local culture, great food, and relaxed exploration.
We’d start with matcha and lattes at a fun coffee shop like Foxtail or Harbor, followed by a walk along the Beltline with lunch and window shopping at Krog Street Market or Ponce. A trip to the DeKalb Farmers Market would also be essential for stocking up on ingredients for some home-cooked meals.
We’d definitely plan a crawl through Atlanta’s plethora of small bookstores and antique shops, two of our favorite hobbies. We’d plan a trip to some parks like Piedmont or Arabia Mountain for some fresh air in nature, and then take them to some great restaurants such as Muchacho, Little Sparrow, or Buttermilk Kitchen.
And finally, we’d be terrible hosts if we didn’t arrange a day at the aquarium and botanical garden.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We wouldn’t be where we are today without the love and support from both of our parents. It’s a blessing and privilege we don’t take for granted. We also have a tight group of family friends who offer the same encouragement that keeps us going when things inevitably get tough. Everyone needs a solid support system, and although ours is small, we truly don’t know where we would be without them.
