Meet C. Zaki Roshell | Author & CEO of Zaki Blaque

We had the good fortune of connecting with C. Zaki Roshell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi C. Zaki, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I feel like no matter what I decided to pursue the creative life was going to choose me anyway. For as long as long as I can remember I’ve always had a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. Although, I may have had plenty of concepts and ideas that never came to fruition at the time I have the ability to come up with it on my own by simply being inspired by everyday things; or having the task to produce an idea in my business classes and then my brain is actively creating immediately. It has always been in me and a gift of mine. As I got older and carried that gift with me and discovered that there are profitable industries that we made for “creatives”, I absolutely love that term, like myself it was only instinct to go after that!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What I want the world to know about my brand and my story is how I am a product of what I means to discover your potential. Everyone deserves to feel unstoppable and like they have the confidence to achieve anything but it’s hard to when we don’t know where to start or how to start.
My book “Becoming A CEO of Self-Confidence” serves as a resource and a guide for my generation to save them from doubt, fear and insecurity.
So that is where my book comes to help
– Part 1, is all about understanding the concept of confidence and how it differs from self-confidence. What is it and what it isn’t and how you mindset is involved.
– Part 2, is all about how to maintain and apply effective habits and routines to gain self-confidence.
My favorite part about it all is that it’s interactive! You also get to apply everything that you learned into the book in part 3. This is where you get to journal, learn how to use a planner and learn more about yourself in personality test.
Growing up and hearing those two words “self-confidence” and being told to have it, people made it sound so much easier than it actually is! I remember being on tiktok the other day and hearing this celebrity talk about confidence being one of those things that you either have or you don’t. He failed to mention the part of it being obtainable and how it can be developed!
If you know a teenager or if there is a young person in your life that needs to start their self confidence journey and unlock their potential, my book is the key. I think that it’s very important that we as teenagers figure this out now in the stage of self development and figuring our who we are.
Whatever you decide to be, whoever you decide to become confidence needs to be in there somewhere.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m definitely a foodie, so eating out is one of my favorite things to do! I’m always looking for new spots myself. At the moment I would say that Roc South, Gusto’s, and Table 25 are places where I enjoy eating. You can catch me out with my girls or a group of friends at Ponce City Market or The Battery Atlanta. I just turned 18 so I’m looking forward to trying more fun places!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It is only right that I shoutout Tamara Zantell the Founder and CEO of Raising a Mogul, your guidance has been paramount. Alongside my parents endless love and support. And a huge thank you to my friends and family and supporters I have met along the way it is not taken lightly!
