We had the good fortune of connecting with C.F. Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi C.F., we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

In 2013, I learned about Roku, and initially, I was unaware of all the possibilities it offered. Once I discovered how I could use it and reach a global television audience, my mind shifted. I immediately thought of how to help fellow entrepreneurs like me who wanted and needed exposure.
As a published author, I understood what it meant to be seen as much as possible to drive book sales. Let’s be honest; television wasn’t part of the budget.
iDefine TV, was established in October of 2013 as a place for the dreamer, visionary, and doer. It is more than the name of a company. It is the affirmation for every soul who ever dreamed of being on television.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

It amazes me how powerful taking the first step can be, while a lot of encouragement and persistence are required to take continuous steps.
I say this because my first step was back in 2003 when I wrote my suspense novel, “Won’t Be Denied.” Becoming an author wasn’t on my radar at the time. However, I wanted to discover my purpose. I went back and forth with myself about writing a book.
In the blink of an eye, four to five months later, I’d completed my suspense novel. The entire writing process and journey exceeded my expectations. I got to meet some awesome people along the way and tap into my inner strength.
Like most writers, I wanted to have my finished work published. I started my quest in search of an agent and book publisher. Let’s fast forward. Six months into the process, no one was interested.
The next steps led me to establish a publishing company to publish my book. Who knew writing a book would lead to starting a publishing company in 2004? I’d become an author and entrepreneur. It started when I took the first step.
Many wonderful things have transpired between then and today. Many more steps led to the creation of iDefine TV in 2013. Say it aloud, “iDefine TV.” I say, “Yes, you do!”
iDefine TV is more than the name of a company. It is the affirmation for every soul who ever dreamed of being on television. It is the place for the dreamer, visionary, and doer. Is this you?
When I learned of Roku in 2013, the sky opened. I saw the possibilities for my fellow entrepreneurs, indie music artists and filmmakers, authors, experts, and the like.
Since launching iDefine TV 10 years ago in October of 2013, we have been recognized as trailblazers in this streaming media industry here in Atlanta. We’ve had corporate sponsorships with Earthlink and AT&T Business. Also, iDefine TV is proud to have been a media partner for various local occasions, such as the Atlanta Film Festival, HOPE Global Forums, Opportunity HUB, Miller Lite Tap The Future, Black Enterprise Conference, and many others.
It feels great to build a brand that is favorably recognized locally while continuing to expand due to the worldwide web.
With the launch of the iDefine TV Business Spotlight Series in 2022, as the host, I’ve interviewed experts from expects of the world. “I didn’t expect such a high interest from international entrepreneurs.”
But it makes sense, being that iDefine TV streams on Roku. If you don’t know, Roku is the number one streaming TV platform in the U.S. with a global reach. Roku continues to lead the streaming television industry as more and more consumers choose to cut the cord and leave cable.
Roku has over 73 million monthly active users who stream over 89 billion hours of content. Guess what? iDefine TV is part of those statistics.
As Roku continues to expand and advance, we will do the same for those who work with us, partner with us, and support us.
It only makes sense that we leverage this era of streaming TV, by releasing the new and improved iDefine TV. We asked ourselves, “How can we help entrepreneurs build their brand and credibility while capitalizing off the Roku massive media platform and distribution medium?”
We went into the lab and will be rolling out some new services. iDefine TV will continue to grow because videos and media aren’t going anywhere.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In 2022, the iDefine TV Business Spotlight Series launched. It streams on the iDefine TV Roku Channel. There have been some extraordinary entrepreneurs we have interviewed. Let’s shout out everyone, as far as Australia, India, Canada, and the United States. Each of these individuals helped make this series a success on iDefine TV.
