We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Fucito and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooke, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Photography is certainly my passion above anything else-and so my end goal is to create and manage a successful photography studio operating in Atlanta. When I think of where I would like to be in five years, I see myself sitting behind a desk, in my own personal office situated next to a studio full of equipment. I see framed photographs of works from Brandon Woelfel and Bryan Castillo decorating the walls, and I see a large window that overlooks my city. I see clients and friends coming in and out during the day, and I see lifelong connections being made with like-minded creatives who are equally passionate about art.

That is what this is all about-creating art. There is really no string of words I could put together to describe what it all means to me, or how much joy I find when a client loves their images. I remember each kind thing I have been told, each time a photo I took was shared to social media. The pride I would feel was phenomenal, and I know I would do anything to provide the very best service to my clients.

And so, professionally, I would like to bring these dreams to fruition. To have a successful business and studio would mean making a profit, of course, but it is so much more than that. I crave that community and those relationships; I have met some of my very best friends through this industry. Photography has given me a job, yes, but it also brought forth a sense of purpose in a setting where art is so highly valued. I have met some wonderful, talented people whom I may not have encountered otherwise.

When I imagine my end goal, I see a prosperous business, and a place where I have the freedom to create and to explore and pursue this passion every day.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I aim to be unique in my photography by portraying my models in an aesthetic, almost surreal nature. Rather than using standard poses and ideas, I enjoy exploring new ways to depict a subject. I have certainly learned how to be more open to different types of photography and artistic styles, and have found that the models and people I work with often have great ideas that are worth listening to! Collaboration is an important part of photography, and it can lead to some extremely successful photoshoots.

I am proud not only of the skills I have developed as a photographer, but of the relationships I have formed and the growth I have seen within myself. Discovering this passion changed my life in many ways, and I will always be grateful for it and all it has given me. While there were times I put my camera away due to discouragement-I always got it back out again. Photography was the one thing I always returned to-the one thing I never truly gave up on-and that has been very significant to me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Centennial Park during Christmastime is beautiful-with all its lights and holiday decor, it makes for a fantastic photoshoot location. Nearby, the iconic SkyView Ferris wheel makes for a wonderful experience, especially during the evening time when you can view all the city lights. Lastly, Midtown is one of my favorite areas for all the cute coffee shops you could ever need!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this Shoutout to my dad, who always supported my creative endeavors and pursuits. From hanging my photos on the walls, to gifting me new equipment, he has always given me the inspiration to keep going.
