We had the good fortune of connecting with Bronze McGhee Lougheed and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bronze, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
I have learned to be patient, trust the process and that what is meant for me will be for me. We have a tendency to compare ourselves with others and then become discouraged or feel behind because of where we think we should be in relation to where others appear to be. We must be committed to learning, growing and evolving organically personally and in our businesses to ensure that our final product is a true manifestation of our vision and aligns with who we are at our core and the legacy we want to leave in the world.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others.
Over the past 18 years I have been blessed to work in my profession of Industrial / Organizational Psychology as well as in my passion as a choreographer, dance coach, and mentor. My diverse background and extensive experience provide for a unique skill set, perspective, and creative vision that serves as the foundation for my success.
What you are most proud of or excited about?
I am excited to see what the future holds! As I learn to conquer my fears I recognize that I hold the key to how far or how high I decide to go. The sky’s the limit.
How did you get to where you are today business-wise?
Ultimately, I am where I am today because of God. Not only has He given me a gift that I am learning to embrace and cultivate, He provides the resources, inspiration and guidance right on cue, like clockwork . I’m strong willed, eager and extremely optimistic when I get a vision in my head, so I approach things with a ‘you’re gonna have to show me that it won’t work’ attitude. The cool thing about this approach is even when the outcome is not exactly what I expected, I’ve still grown through the process and at least now I know what won’t work which can be useful in other situations I encounter in the future.
Was it easy?
Absolutely Not. Is it worth it? Absolutely!
How did you overcome the challenges?
I had to dig deeper spiritually and learn to face my fears head on. This is an ongoing process that requires me staying in constant communication with God through conversation, prayer and meditation. I also rely on counseling and coaching to stay grounded and focused. Although therapy can be uncomfortable and painful, I have learned to take it slowly, allow myself to feel all the feelings and move organically through the process. When I allow myself to push through the discomfort I feel more empowered and inspired to keep pushing. I believe that having a deeper understanding of myself is essential to me being my best self and living authentically.
What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Be persistent, pay attention and MOVE scared – If I wait for the day where I feel totally comfortable and ready I will be waiting forever. I have learned to go after my dreams with relentless passion but allowing room to adjust. Some of the toughest lessons are centered around humility and recognizing there is always room for improvement, learning, and growth. If you want to be successful at something you must be willing to put in the work and not be deterred by the fear of failure. It is imperative to respect the process and heed advice of the innovators who have laid the foundation and provided a blueprint to success. The key is to take that blueprint and create a masterpiece that is a true reflection of your vision. This requires giving yourself grace and permission to make mistakes. Just because you may not get it ‘right’ the first time, doesn’t mean your vision is flawed, you may just need to alter your approach. If you don’t try, how will you know whether it will work or not? I remind my students often, that you cannot learn dance through osmosis… You must first attempt the more challenging choreography, if you plan to ever execute it. You can’t close your eyes and ‘will yourself’ into a quadruple pirouette – you must start the turn! The same thing is true when we are chasing after our dreams – we can’t just want it – we must put one foot in front of the other and MOVE.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
The best is yet to come!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As an enthusiast ( self- declared / enneagram confirmed ) I have a tendency to turn almost any mundane activity into a party, production, or celebration. That being said I love great food, music and being outdoors. So whether it’s an outdoor brunch with a live band and a view of the city, or a local festival with food trucks, vendors, and musical acts we will go wherever our spirits lead us, and make it a party just because we are there.. even if it’s in front of the t.v. with my favorite infused champs cocktail and binge watching Netflix, it will be the best time ever!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who have inspired and encouraged me to push beyond wildest dreams. My hubby who is by my side on this roller coaster ride of life and indulges me in my grandiose visions and dreams, my father who has always been my cheerleader and told me that there is nothing that I cannot achieve, my unbelievably talented big sister who has been my shero and inspiration to push my creative bounds, my fearless cousin who gave me permission to openly embrace my inner hippie, my students who help keep me young at heart and on my toes, my amazing inner circle of besties, close friends and family who are consistently willing to be my sounding board, my shoulder to lean on and my team to get things done, my earthly angels who pray for me, guide and direct me, and my heavenly angels, especially my mother whose quiet strength empowers and inspires me daily. Thank you so much! The prayers, thoughts, and words of encouragement are appreciated more than you know.
