We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Powe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittney, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My initial thought behind my business is that I want to finally have something of my own. I want to run a business that is simply based off my ideas. I want to run a business that would encourage and inspire young women like myself to GET THEIR OWN!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
BNATURAL Boutique Inc was created with “One stop shop” in mind. You can literally visit my site and get an outfit, sandals, a purse and even natural bath salts and oils. What I am proud most about my business is that I did not give up. If I’d given up, I wouldn’t be having this interview. I am honestly where I am today because of encouragement from my husband and just focusing on my short term goals. It was not easy. I lost money, friends, and supporters a long the way. Staying focus and promoting regardless of who buys is what keeps me going. I’ll always have the thought that someone is always needing what I’m advertising. So that keeps me going. I want the world to know that BNATURAL Boutique Inc stands for self love and self care.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In my area it’s very small. I would honestly plan a week long of activities at my house. We would grab a low country boil from the favorite seafood spot here. I would setup a sip and paint night, movie night, activities night, etc. I can plan things so it’ll workout. Lol. I love Stella Rosa. All flavors.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout to my daughter, River. She’s only 10 months old but she’s changed my life in so many ways. For the better. I was brainstorming for about 2 years before I actually launched my online boutique in 2019. In 2020, I got discouraged. I had some health issues I was dealing with and I didnt think I wanted to promote my business anymore. I had given up. But in December, December 6, 2020 to be exact, I found out I was pregnant. Knowing that I was bringing a brand new life into this world gave me the boost I needed. The confidence… The encouragement… It was back. So all throughout my pregnancy, I worked my boutique and it did pretty good that year. So yes, shoutout to my beautiful baby girl. You helped mommy. I love you.
