We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Wyatt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I started my business when the pandemic started in 2020. I saw an opportunity to help families and friends celebrate special events in a grand fashion…even from home! The need for beautiful party decor was on the rise and I decided to put my creativity to the test and learned to style and create balloon installations.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Balloons by Brittany is a balloon styling and event decor business. I strive to provide beautiful and fun creations that help make special occasions memorable and exciting.

I have labeled myself a serial entrepreneur because I’m always creating and exploring new ways to push my creativity. I’ve done everything from cupcakes to custom shirts/goods to balloons. I’ve encounter many challenges along the way from pursuing these businesses, but the one thing that has kept me encouraged is the other successful entrepreneurs in Atlanta. I see so many success stories and I remind myself that if I keep pushing and be innovative, my success will come too.

I want the world to know that I’m a prime example that success can live outside of the corporate world! If you work hard and focus in creating your brand, you can do whatever it is that your passion leads you to do!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The best thing about Atlanta is the endless options for good food and entertainment. So if I were hosting an out of town guest for the weekend, I’d plan an itinerary full-on fun and delicious cuisine.

We would start the first day out with breakfast/brunch at Breakfast at Barney’s downtown. From there we would head down to the beltline to take a stroll and enjoy the art/murals. While there we would stop at one of the beltline restaurants, either Hawkers or Ladybird for a drink and relax outside and hopefully catch some good music. Of course we wouldn’t leave without riding scooters and enjoying some King of Pops. We would end the day with dinner at JCT Kitchen and ice cream at Jeni’s.

The next day we would start off with Joy’s Cafe for breakfast. From there we would go the the Atlanta Selfie Museum to have some fun taking Instagram worthy pictures. Hopefully the Braves would be in town because I’d love to head to The Battery to cheer on the home team. To wrap up the day, we would head to Slush ATL for some delicious food & slushies and enjoy the good music and vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my mother. She always demonstrated how hard work and determination could make a difference. She always pushed me to challenge myself, try new things, always keep learning, and help others along the way. I also want to credit the support of the Atlanta community. 90% of my business is from referrals and I’m so grateful for my village supporting me and always sharing my talents with anyone who will listen!
