We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Harris, BSN RN and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, how does your business help the community?
As a BSN registered nurse I serve a unique and vulnerable population. My role as a licensed registered nurse in linkage to cosmetic post operative surgical care is centered on addressing health disparities, lack of proper post operative care education, and vulnerabilities.
In my role I assist the cosmetic surgery community with patient navigation in the pre-operative and post-operative aspects, education barriers through client advocacy and training, cosmetic surgery groups on social media, and direct connections to community resources.
In doing so, as a cosmetic post operative business owner and licensed healthcare professional I am able to “level the playing field” for the traditionally untaught vulnerable cosmetic surgery client.
What should our readers know about your business?

There are 6 vital components that set us apart from others in our industry. My twelve years of nursing experience, licensure as a registered nurse specializing in cosmetic surgery aftercare, and collaborative relationship with Dr. Triggs a plastic & reconstructive surgeon serving as Pretty Saddity Recovery’s medical director sets us apart from the competition. In addition to our patient centered care plans, unparalleled care, and comprehensive services.
I am where I am today businesswise because of faith, determination, and a plan. I just didn’t stop. I was always learning, trying, doing, and revamping. I am not afraid to fail and so, I always win. Because the vision for the brand has been clear for me, I have drawn resources and opportunities to me that will help further the vision. No, it has not been easy my first year of full entrepreneurship, but it has been worth it. I have learned that if you don’t have a clear vision of what you want to do then you will be easily swayed by what others want your brand to be. I have also learned that while you can’t work with and include everyone in your plans, you must be willing to share your vision with others who have expertise in the areas that you don’t. Building a team of professionals that are able to run with your vision is paramount to the success of any business.
One thing I’d like the world to know about the business & brand is that we support the uplifting of women, everywhere. This is a minority and veteran owned business ran by a woman who has overcome many personal trials and tribulations.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
