What should our readers know about your business?
Swamp Fox Distilling is a Grain to Glass whiskey distillery in rural Georgia. Grain to Glass means that we we do not outsource our spirits but make them all from scratch, by hand, in our facility. It brings me great pride to be able to say this.
We are fortunate that we are growing fast. Swamp Fox whiskeys are now available in 6 states with more to come this year. It hasn’t been easy but being selective on our distribution partners, putting the right people in place and staying the course on the quality of our spirits have made this growth possible.
If anyone is considering giving our whiskeys I try I would want them to know that these are true small batch spirits hand made and hand selected by myself and my team of whiskey lovers. There is not a bottle of Swamp Fox on the shelf that I didn’t taste and approve the batch before shipping.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Buena Vista is a very small town but has much to offer. A scenic drive of the countryside would be a great start followed by a tour of Pasaquan which is an internationaly renowned outdoor art site just outside of town. Lunch at one of our 7 eateries would be next on the agenda followed of course by a tour of the Swamp Fox Distillery complete with a whiskey tasting. After cocktails and cigars at the distillery a show at one of our live entertainment venues would be the ideal finale to a very well rounded day.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to say my family and most especially my wife Angie. She plays an active role in the distillery and has been very supportive of the investment in time as well as the financial and emotional investments required to start a business from scratch.
