We had the good fortune of connecting with Brianna Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brianna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Every since I was a little girl I always loved to do hair. I’ve always told myself I’m going to own my own hair salon. After moving to Atlanta I worked in a few salons that didn’t work out for me. I told myself the next salon I work in will be my own and I worked my day time job to fund my business
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Vera Violet Hair Salon I bring back that old school experience where your hair care is my top priority and thats starting at the chair for consultation, then to the shampoo bowl. ” I shampoo all my clients hair” This journey has not been easy. Moving to Georgia from Illinois without family and friends was challenging at times. There where times i wanted to give up and move back home but faith and prayer has kept me here and has gotten me where i am today. I’m excited about what the future has in store for me. I’m thankful and grateful for my client they keep me going. I want everyone that’s pursuing something to know never give up. Your time is coming keep grinding and praying. Never stop promoting.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love going to the Cirque Daiquiri Bar & Grill they have awesome food and drinks. If your from the Chicago land area and your looking for some good chicken. Sharks in morrow is bomb. I like to enjoy the outdoors. During the summer I love going to pick strawberries and peaches at Southern bell farm in McDonough and horse back riding with South Side Riders. I enjoy riding through the city at night looking at the skyline
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my partner and mother for always supporting me and having my back throughout this journey. Special shout out to my grandmother and uncle who is with me in spirit every step i take I know there so proud of me.
