We had the good fortune of connecting with Bria Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had just finished college & started getting my feet wet professionally but wanted to do something more stimulating. While also being in the midst of my healing journey, I learned about the metaphysical properties of crystals.

I wanted to incorporate them into my lifestyle but in a way I thought was aesthetically pleasing. So originally, I got into making only crystal waist beads, then eventually wire wrapping jewelry, and the rest is history!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m most proud of introducing crystal healing to wombmen in a way that still makes them feel beautiful, supported, & seen. We’re all souls in a body healing in some shape or form. From my experiences, healing can be a very unpleasant process: mentally, emotionally, and even physically. It excites me to be a part of their journey through my art.

I honestly got here through trial & error and just trying to find myself and my purpose. Then finally deciding to take a risk & bet on myself WITH the support of loved ones.. The deeper I got into understanding myself and my purpose the easier it was to let everything and everyone go that didn’t serve it.

One of the major lessons I’ve learned is it really does take a village. Society and at some point even family pushes us so hard to be independent when it really needs to be the opposite. We need each other, we need unity, we need community. I overcame all of my challenges with support from others, faith, & hard work.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love this question! If I had a friend visit we would have to do something for the mind, body, & soul like I try to do everyday.

I’m still new to the city full time but my favorite restaurant is PLANTA . It’s a plant-based Thai fusion spot in Buckhead. Before I became plants based, I loved sushi & other Thai dishes. The sushi is absolutely amazing! That area also has a couple art museums so we would definitely go look at the most recent exhibits.

I won’t drag them to the gym but a hike instead. Either Stone Mountain or Kennesaw Mountain. I love the views there and they are both beginner friendly!

I’m not a big night life person & if you’re my friend you already know this! But I do love live music especially jazz. I’m still trying to find my match with jazz clubs in the area. One night I did check out Acere Cigar Lounge in Douglasville. They had a live band who performed some oldies & it was a vibe!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shoutout to everyone who has supported & shown love to me in any way. From complimenting my art to sharing a post to purchasing. Thank you & I would not be here without you.
