We had the good fortune of connecting with Breanna Banks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Breanna, what do you want your legacy to be?
I’d like people to remember me for the impact that I made – not the clothes I wore, the car I drove, or how many followers I had on Instagram. Those things will fade away, but the impact I made will remain.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Friends are always complementing on my positivity and how refreshing it is to talk to me, so I thought, why not share that with other people – and boom, EncHERage Podcast was created! This show is unique in the fact that, my focus is to be a source of positivity, honesty, and safety in my peer group and most of social platforms are the opposite. Everyone loves to share their high points and leave the low ones in the shadows, but my mission is to uncover what is often hidden.

Starting this platform was definitely not easy, as you have to be vulnerable in order to really touch people and have an impact. This is something that I am not particularly used to, as I am normally the one lending the shoulder, and not the one crying. But throughout this journey, I have found that sharing my story and being open with others is quite freeing and therapeutic.

EncHERage Podcast is like a literal child of mine. I take great pride in what I am creating and if I am able to help at least one person in the process, I will have succeeded.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It’s funny that you ask that, because I’m quite the home body. But, when I do go outside, I’m definitely more on the chill side. My first order of business would be an authentic Mexican food spot. I absolutely love Mexican food and could eat tacos everyday! Next order of business is Spa Sydell. As a working momma of two little humans, I need all the relaxation I can get! Last on the list, would be a rooftop spot in Atlanta where we could have a nice glass of wine and enjoy the Atlanta skyline.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate this shout out to all the leading women in my life – you paved the way for me and shown me that literally anything is possible and I’d like to shout out Maya Angelou for paving the way for them.
