We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandy Yungel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
“I started my business as a wedding planner and florist because I’m deeply passionate about creating meaningful, beautiful experiences. After working in the industry for a few years, I realized how much I loved both the design and the planning sides — and I saw an opportunity to offer couples a more personal, customized approach.
For me, it’s not just about flowers or timelines — it’s about building real relationships and telling each couple’s story through every detail. My team and I genuinely care, and we bring heart, creativity, and intention to everything we do. I truly believe your wedding wouldn’t be the same without us, because we’re not just executing a plan — we’re creating an unforgettable experience.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is a full-service wedding planning and floral design company built on passion, creativity, and personal connection. What sets us apart is our deep commitment to truly knowing our couples — understanding their stories, styles, and dreams — so that every detail feels meaningful and unique. We don’t do cookie-cutter weddings. Instead, we craft personalized experiences that reflect who our clients are.
What I’m most proud of is the genuine relationships I’ve built with clients and vendors alike. Seeing a couple’s vision come to life and knowing we played a part in one of the most important days of their lives is incredibly rewarding. It’s a privilege that never gets old.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy — like any small business owner, I’ve faced challenges, especially around managing the unpredictable nature of weddings and building a reliable team. There were late nights, last-minute changes, and moments of self-doubt. But I learned that perseverance, clear communication, and surrounding myself with supportive people are key. I made it a point to grow not just as a creative but also as a leader and problem solver.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success in this industry isn’t just about aesthetics or logistics — it’s about people. It’s about empathy, trust, and showing up fully for every couple, no matter what.
What I want the world to know about my brand is that we’re more than planners and florists — we’re storytellers and memory makers. We bring heart, detail, and dedication to every wedding because for us, it’s not just a job; it’s a calling.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, it wouldn’t be about showing them the touristy highlights—it’d be about sharing my Atlanta. The people, places, and little everyday things that make this area feel like home. I was born and raised here, and even though I’ve traveled and lived in Europe, Georgia will always be home. There’s something about the way life unfolds here that just stays with you.
We’d probably start in Serenbe, because it feels like stepping into a dream. I’d want them to ease into the trip with fresh air, big skies, and porch wine under the stars. We’d walk barefoot on the trails, eat homemade biscuits at Blue Eyed Daisy, and maybe take a little detour to visit the alpacas. There’s something magical about that place—it slows you down in the best way.
We’d spend a day or two in Peachtree City, riding golf carts through wooded paths and over little bridges like we’re kids again. I’d take them to my favorite local coffee spot (Java Pickle, lavender lattes all day), and we’d grab lunch at The BeiRut—because once they taste the hummus, they’ll understand why I talk about it like it’s life-changing.
Once we’re city-bound, it’s all about vibe over schedule. One night we’d dress up and go to Aria or Marcel—something elegant and moody with perfect cocktails. The next night might be tacos at El Tesoro with margaritas on the patio and people-watching for hours. I’d take them to Ponce City Market, not just to shop or eat, but to walk the BeltLine, see the murals, maybe even sneak into a rooftop mini golf game at Skyline Park just for the view.
We’d have late-night talks over doughnuts from Sublime, and brunches that turn into afternoons at South City Kitchen, where the fried chicken is better than anything I could ever make. On sunny days, we’d head to Piedmont Park to just lie on the grass and catch up like we used to in college.
And I’d make time for stillness too—maybe a hike at Arabia Mountain, where it’s just the two of us and the sound of our footsteps on stone. Or maybe we’d escape for a few hours to Jeju Spa, walk around in robes, detox in the saunas, and laugh about how we both can’t sit still but somehow need this.
But the real magic? It’s in the moments in between. Sitting on my porch with a glass of wine. Running into neighbors and introducing them like family. Staying up too late laughing in pajamas. Watching them fall a little in love with the life I’ve built here.
I’d want them to leave with their heart full, their camera roll overflowing, and already talking about their next trip back. Because once you’ve felt this place—the energy, the beauty, the weird and the wonderful—you never forget it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! My shoutout goes to Georgia Griffin. Georgia has been such an inspiration and support in my journey—her encouragement, wisdom, and genuine kindness have meant so much to me both personally and professionally. She has a way of lifting people up, offering thoughtful advice, and always showing up with a positive attitude.

I truly admire her talent and the way she pours her heart into everything she does. Georgia’s influence has played a big role in where I am today, and I’m so grateful for her guidance and friendship. She definitely deserves all the recognition for the impact she makes on those around her!
