We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, what’s your definition for success?
The word “Success” is interesting because everyone’s definition varies. Personally, I am now at the point in my life where I measure success by achieving goals not numbers. Family is very important to me; being a husband and now a new father I realize the importance of having a good work/life balance. For that reason, being afforded the opportunity to have more control of my time while still being able to do what I love and provide for my family is what I personally define as success. Being able to see my vision become a reality and realizing that I am creating a space in such a way that my vision has the potential to become a legacy for my family takes the concept of success to another dimension. Additionally, building a rapport with clients so that they are participants in their own well-being and seeing them thrive gives me a sense of success that cannot be measured numerically or financially.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have always had a passion for fitness and as an Occupational Therapist I felt developing a business model catered to post workout recovery and rehabilitation was the perfect marriage of my two passions. As an Occupational/Hand Therapist I specialize in the treatment of hand & upper extremity injuries. What makes us unique is that Revive Performance and Recovery combines rehabilitative Hand Therapy along with innovative recovery options such as cryotherapy, dry needling, and IV hydration via our partnership with Mind Body + Soul ATL. My vision when creating this business was to create a space that allowed me to utilize my clinical skills and practice outside of the constraints of the traditional healthcare model. Shaping the direction of my business as well as having the ability to be able to provide the level of quality care to my clients required me to move in a more autonomous direction.

Revive is centered around Health & Wellness with a goal of keeping people healthy and active while placing an emphasis on injury prevention and routine maintenance. As the healthcare delivery model slowly changes it is creating a space to deliver healthcare in an untraditional sense. I wanted to be able to offer alternative options to help people manage pain and dysfunction conservatively opposed to medication and ultimately surgical intervention.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has so much variety and different places to visit. We’d definitely have to hit a few of my favorite places. We’d stop in Midtown for some good food. Drinks from DrawBar, Rooftop LOA, or Suite Food Lounge and lastly Fellaship to grab a few cigars.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank God first and foremost. My beautiful wife and baby girl for supporting me and being my inspiration. And lastly Shout Atlanta for providing me a platform to share my story.
