We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, what’s your definition for success?
I think that success is a process. I believe that it first begins within a person way before the outward manifestations of it are immediately seen. I think that success is consciously choosing to push yourself forward through negative thoughts, people, emotions, & experiences. I think that success is choosing not to give up, even when there are countless reasons for why you should. I believe that success should be viewed more internally than externally; because how you feel about yourself, see yourself, & view your ability to overcome obstacles are much more long-lasting than the gift of fame & fortune. I believe that the financial gains, public recognition, and accolades that come over the time, experience, & hard work of a matter are just the icing on the cake.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

What sets my business apart from others businesses is, most notably, that it is a company specifically focused on the creative use of oats into each product. By having oats as the highlighting element of my company, my business continues to be a creative entity among the general public!
Reaching this point of success within my small business has been no easy feat, by any stretch of the imagination. I run my company alone and having so many hats to wear all of the time makes for an interesting challenge. But that’s what makes the success and victories so much sweeter!
This journey has taught me SO MUCH about myself, and most importantly, about business. And it has shown me (and continues to show me) how to personally overcome my own life’s challenges, and how essential it is to have support systems to lean on and spiritual foundations to stand on.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the Statesboro area for the week: AMC Theaters, Japanese food, and Mill Creek Park are ALL definitely on the agenda! And we’re going to be stopping by Starbucks afterwards to pick up some coffee for sure. Or we might choose to stop by “Sum’mo Tea & Things” to pick up their delicious Sunset Tea Lemonade instead!
As for our weekend festivities, I will be recruiting my best friend to help me sell at the Statesboro Farmers Market from 9am-12:30pm, and later that evening we would be heading over to Paulson Stadium to watch the Georgia Southern Eagles play & WIN!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to thank God for my amazing business OatPop. My parents Everett & Kimberly Robinson for their love & support.
My siblings Kristopher Robinson, Eniya Robinson, and my amazing family & friends for their love & support.
Food Network CHOPPED Finalist Chef Donny Enriquez, Netflix Comedian Barbara Carlyle, Whitney Turner Lavoie & The Lavoie Family, Kaelin Durst at Opulence Vacation Rentals, “The Statesboro Farmers Market”, and “Sum’mo Tea & Things” in Statesboro, GA for being just a FEW of the MANY individuals & organizations who have played a dynamic role in OatPop’s success thus far.
And a HUGEEEE THANK YOU to the town of STATESBORO, GEORGIA for being SOO AMAZING to my company!
