Meet Brandon Clemons | Entrepreneur – Clothing line(7Godz)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Clemons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Pretty much my thought process behind starting my own business is that I never seen myself working a 9-5 being I was a student athlete all my life, so I felt the way my journey was going basketball was going to be my career but it didn’t plan out that way so I basically want to change my circumstances. To be the one who breaks a generational curse and establish generational wealth for my family to be taken care of.

What should our readers know about your business?
So being who I am I’ve always installed in myself I’m my only competition. I’m not doing what I do for the fame and notoriety. I’m doing this to take care my family and make sure they straight. I’m in my own lane. The most thing I’m proud of myself is that I’m open-minded. I’m all for learning and gaining as much knowledge as I can building relationships with the right people so I can be the narrator of my own journey. I love this man I’ve grown to be I truly do and that I’m still growing. I know this relationship I’ve rebuilt with god has been one of the best decisions I have truly made and just can’t wait to see what he has for me. I have gotten to where I am today by just doing my research, waking up everyday working towards my mission, Being consistent, Staying positive. Mentors. Was this easy, no it wasn’t I’ve come to realize and understand nothing you like and really want comes easy and that preparation prevents poor performance. Lessons I’ve learned along the way, is that you cannot make anyone happen unless you are. Understanding to become successful you must be willing to be uncomfortable because one you do the sky is the limit. What I want the world to know about me, is that I am from Chicago, IL Englewood & that 7Godz means to inspire those who been through many challenges but still maintain to become great. I will make 7Godz a household name by the time I am done with it I’m just excited and going to continue to work and grind for it each and every day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well in my city, definitely gone show them good food spots; Harold’s, portillos, uncle Remus, giordanos, Italian fiesta, Taurus hoagies, babas. Then we would tour downtown; Navy pier, mixing Michigan Ave, our beaches, malls, the skyline our rooftops. Hyde park has been renovated as well. In the summer you must experience our beaches we have them throughout the city. In the winter like baby pier, the skyline just downtown in general.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to first thank god for being who he truly is to me. To be honest I have came across a quite of few folks that I am very appreciative for what they have done for me. The type of person I am though it’s like my circumstances & life experiences really is something that keeps me in the mindset I’m in. Just understanding my purpose in life observing my journey and just knowing this is what I was here to do. I’ve been in a space where I’m traveling living life doing something I love with no worries so I know how that feel it’s just now that I’m an adult I’m tryna to really get to that level to where it’s my everyday life. S/o to my brother Darius Wright for the acknowledgment 🙏🏼
