We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandie Brancheau and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The one thing that sets me apart from other local artist and is my biggest successor is customer service. Beyond my talent and pricing, clients will booking me because of the customer service I display from the very first email or phone interaction. From the very first interaction I have with my potential clients, I treat them as if they have been my clients for years. I go above and beyond to accommodate and make sure there needs are not only met but exceeded. People want to feel special and important, I give that to my clients.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I actually went to school for criminal Justice, but was bored to tears. So I enrolled at Paul Mitchell the school. Walking through the doors was so fun! Everyone was well dressed, edgy, hair perfectly styled and music loud. It was an exciting change.I graduated in 2012. I worked at a dry bar. Where I met Amber, an established makeup artist in Detroit and LA. I asked her if I could be her assistant and she said yes! I worked fashion shows, magazine shoots and clients with her. But she moved away a short while after and her clients contacted me to start working for them. It snowballed after that with connections and growing. I managed salons for 5 years after that as well. Fast forward to March 2020, Covid-19 closed most things including salons. I needed to find another income source. Like most, I had a lot of time on my hands with quarantine. That’s when B.Wild was born. I’ve always wanted to own my a mobile bridal hair and makeup business. I invested a lot into my brand, my kit and education. Now in 2021 with 71 brides booked, I feel really good about the direction my business is going. It definitely hasn’t been easy. What people don’t tell you about owning a business is you work 24/7. There are no sick days or calling off. You are the face of your brand and business. You must act accordingly. One lesson I quickly learned is you need to learn to say NO! Not all bookings are good bookings and if you’re tired, take a break!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My friend was actually just in town and here’s how our day went:
9am- Ponce city market- five daughters bakery for their 100 layer donuts and Spiller park coffee authentic cup of espresso to start the day
10am walk around ponce city shops, you must stop in Modern Mystic for your crystal and cleansing needs
11:30am Manicure/Pedicure at bluegrass -Roswell BEST pedicure ever. The customer service is phenomenal
12:30pm massages at Buckhead massage company- not only the best massage and facials ever but easy parking!!
3pm a little shopping at Perimeter mall
6pm back to ponce city for dinner and drinks: highly recommend the queso and margaritas at Minero and then try Bar Vegan, great atmosphere and mixed drinks.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
