We had the good fortune of connecting with Bodies by Jazz “Jasmine Ingram” and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bodies by Jazz, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk bridges goals to results! If you don’t shoot your shot, it will never go in. Risk-taking hands down is the biggest role in my experience as an entrepreneur. It has been the scariest risk that i almost did not take that got me 10 steps ahead OR even showed me what not to do. I have taken risks that would have pushed me so far ahead but my timing was incorrect. Even though my plan did not go through every time, i knew what “not” to do the next time the opportunity presented itself. Decisions become more calculated as you experience taking more risks.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Bodies by Jazz is ran by myself Jasmine Ingram. I am a certified personal trainer out of North Augusta SC. Specializing in weight-loss “Coaching up tenacious minds and bodies that emulate”
My passion is helping people change their lives in ALL aspects starting with the mind. My regimen is realistic and simple. I am programming plans for health & wellness tailored to each individual, sharing evidence based knowledge, & professional experiences of my own. You will be set up for an enduring lifestyle change that cannot be compromised.
I have a true passion for fitness and health! Motivating others to help them reach their goals, but eager to help them maintain their results as well. Determined not to lose physique after childbirth, I started out using social media platforms as an accountability partner to document my fitness journey and to uplift others on theirs. I have worked with over 60 clients online, locally, and as far out as Atlanta GA through virtual sessions. Currently, certified in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated defibrillation (AED) & Personal Training (CPT) through world leader in fitness certifications, National Academy of Sports Medicine, accredited by the NCAA. Next UP, is pursuing my certifications for Bodybuilding and Certified Nutritionist.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For breakfast, First Watch Cafe is a must! They’re whole menu is heavenly & they have a nice dining area in or out for laptop work. Next up is cardio, that would be done at the nature trails. I would switch it up throughout the week. So maybe riverwalk, then the Greenway, and then the Savanah River rapids. My favorite gym is next level fitness and boxing. Augusta Mall has a great variety of shops and a pretty big food court for lunch. Night fun never goes wrong at the trampoline park(urban air adventure), red wing roller skating rink, and/or Bowlero(bowling) If you are looking to go out for drinks, the Indian Queen is nice!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All praise to the man upstairs for overwhelmingly blessing me with such an amazing support system. I love you all. I want to dedicate my shoutout to the man I pray to marry every single day. Mr. Hillary! He came into my life when I was broken, confused, and bitter. Thank you for seeing beneath the surface, not being ashamed of me, taking your time with me to learn how I think, believing in me and embracing my passion, understanding triggers, and respecting boundaries. Most importantly, thank you for showing me and my son a love I have never seen or imagined. Love you so much big head!
