Hi BjMonet, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was simply to have something of my own! having something that no one could take away from me and being able to leave a legacy behind for my children

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
i started hairmelodies back in 2015 in cleveland ohio! in 2019 i moved to atlanta with my family and opened up Hair Melodie’s ATL! Hair Melodie’s introduced me to a world of beauty that i am now obsessed with! i started off doing hair. i thought doing hair was it for me until i fell in love with eyebrows in 2018! Hair Melodie’s Microblading Academy has taught over 200 students how to make 6 figures being their own boss! Doing eye brows is life changing for the artist and their clients! i make women feel beautiful! so many women have sat in my chair and cried because i was able to give them back something they lost or may have never had! having those beautiful brows brings confidence that every women should have!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
ok so this is where it gets tricky lol, I’ve been in atlanta for 3 years now and still haven’t made my way throughout the city! But if my girls were in town we are gonna definitely slide through buckhead and get beautiful first at Hair Melodies on Bennett Street. We might go to Zari for a quick drink and Oceanaire for dinner! we will probably end our night over at pounce city market having cocktails and good vibes on the roof top

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Family is my biggest support system! My children is my why! Being someone that they can be proud and someone they can look up too will forever be the reason why i get up and get things done! My husband is my motivation! When im feeling like i’ve had enough he reminds me why I started in the first place! He pushes me to keep going and go harder even when i’m feeling defeated! He never lets me quit! he shows me every time how the impossible is actually worth pursuing, His ambition is what’s kept me motivated through out the years. and lastly my everything! My mom! The one who made it possible to do it all! She’s guided me through my entire career and made me into the woman i am today. I owe it all to her! God rest her beautiful soul
