We had the good fortune of connecting with Billie Essco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Billie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Staying authentic to the inner self/voice and pursuing spiritual and mental growth through the development and execution of my art. More importantly than anything physical, I believe the highest form of success is to be fully one with self and I believe the pursuit of that bears fruitful milestones. Strive for greatness in self and everything around you will begin to get greater.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always been a multi faceted, multi hyphenated creator so what I’m most proud about is being to create a brand that encompasses all of my mediums cohesively under one house: Cafe.™️.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If your coming to Buffalo your going to EAT AND DRINK ALOT. Real hot wings from Kelly’s Korner, Pandora’s or Gabriel Gates. If it’s Friday Gotta get a fish fry from Ike and BGs or Pine Hill. Buffalo has some nice serene areas like outer harbor, canalside or glen falls. If you want to see the art culture stop at the cellar or metagama Laurer house and your. Bound to run into some local legends and artist culture.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
THE MOST HIGH off top but I would like to give a shout-out to my cousin “Killa Kam” Kameron McCullough. I watched him create some of the most memorable moments for years with the same smile and laugh while climbing ladder after building. Scaling was a word I learned from Kam and it was always more gems and finesse to be given every link.
