We had the good fortune of connecting with Billboard Chaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Billboard, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was “ Nothing else makes you feel as happy and as fulfilled than when you’re doing what you know God has put you on this earth to do. Me continuing to invest countless hours into a 9 to 5 that doesn’t care anything about me or my life’s purpose is simply just a waste of my time and energy. And with me knowing that tomorrow isn’t promised I have none of that to waste. So the “starting a business” part wasn’t really the main focus but more so following my passion.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When it comes to MY art what sets me apart is my genuine love for creating and design. It shows up in each one of my projects. Even my clients often mention how much they can tell that I love what I do. It shows in the way that I go above and beyond for my clients. from the way that I provide multiple quality concepts and put together full presentations for projects, to the way I follow up with my clients just to make sure everything is going well and ensure that they are getting the most out their final product. All of those things have gotten me to where I am today and I’m proud of the amazing track record and facecard that me and my business now hold. I’ve learned so much over the years about my craft and growing as well as in a business sense . The main thing I’ve taken away from everything I’ve learned is to never stop learning, never stop growing. I want the world to know that when they see Billboard Chaz or the SLM brand anywhere just know we represent The Creatives, The Passionate, The Big Business of it all!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To be honest I’m not really the go to guy for fun outings and adventures lol. I’m really a homebody but when I do go out it’s usually with my woman and our children. We like to do things like hit the Beltline and just walk around with the kids, or take my son to hit up different skate parks around the city since that’s his thing. Other than that you can usually catch me somewhere on my laptop working on projects. When it comes to grubbing we’re always eating good. Whether we’re out at 26 Thai, devouring oysters at C&S, or enjoying sushi at The One Sushi it’s always a feast. Occasionally, you might catch me at a dope museum or an exclusive art gallery.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well anytime I really think back to how all of this came about I always bring up my oldest brother. He’s the real artist and creative of the family. His main focus is 3D animation these days and dude is on Pixar and Disney level, but he started out just drawing. I always loved how he was able to create and sketch up anything that came to mind just from his head. No tracing or even looking at an image for direction and would do it with a pen most times. Impressed the hell out of me man lol, but yea just to see where he started at and where his passion has taken him motivates me and now with this whole NFT thing taking off I know he’s about kill the game!
