Meet Bianca T Adams | Healthcare Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca T Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, how do you think about risk?
Just jump! Many hear this cliché all the time referring to moving to the next level. Jumping means risk taking literally and figuratively. It was scary and frightening for me to jump at times but it was the greatest gift to my business/career. Risk taking is the main ingredient of the recipe for growing. Is it easy? No, I am always shaking in my boots when I make up in my mind to do something different than what I have ever done before. Doubt is an evitable nemesis that plays with the mind and emotions. If entertained if for too long, most times it will make you disqualify yourself before even getting started. Risk taking was definitely very hard for me to overcome in the beginning however, over time I begin to realize that I if I did not take the risk I would always think “what would have or could have happened?” As an entrepreneur I would never grow if I let FEAR stop me from achieving what I am destined to do. I quickly learn that if I take the risk and fail at it, I could always get back up and do it again and I would be a little more confident the next time and accomplish something I thought I could not do or was not good enough to do.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
This is an interesting question. If my best friend were visiting Atlanta for a week, we would start off the beginning of the week visiting the World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium. These are Georgia tourist spots that most love and would be enjoyable. We would spend our afternoons enjoying the outdoors at Piedmont Park. The historical black history areas in Atlanta are a must! Dr. Martin L. King, Jr center would give interesting details to the history of the city.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I had many strong, wise guides that helped me along the way. I constantly reference to how each of them would handle certain situations. Growing up I saw my grandmother, Nelvena Lawson succeed in Mary Kay as a top saleswoman, salon business owner, and become an active leader in our small rural community. By watching her create vacation bible school parades, work with teenage mother, and show ladies that they are beautiful inside and out gave me a taste of entrepreneurship and social activism. My mother, Alisa Y. Hoard followed in my grandmother’s footsteps. I’ve watched her take risk with many conferences, projects and activities. I watched her research and educated herself in many areas and she refused to be defeated. My mom has sat on many boards, she has become a valuable resource of community information, and she has a passion for empowering women. Charlotte Brooks was a young entrepreneur in my community that I admired who is business savvy and a self-starter. Madara Upchurch, gave me the tools to operate a business. She taught me about credit and the do’s and don’ts of operating a business. Shakira Davis, let me work at her business and taught me so much about operating a business daily. Bernadette Frazier gave me the keys. She took me under her wings, taught me about the Healthcare Business and gave me the blueprint; and I ran with it. I’ve seen these women do awesome things and they taught me to not have a limited mindset. If I envision it then I can do it. Possessing a mindset of no limits is never easy. Doubt will creep in. I overcame it by being around others who were just as driven and ambitious as me and did not want to settle for mediocrity. You are the company you keep, and this has proven to be true in my life. The lessons that I have learned along the way are to keep God first, be confident in yourself, trust yourself, and decide in your mind first what you want to do, implement it and your dreams will manifest. What I want the world to know about B.T. Elite is to never give up! Never give up on what you want to do and never give up on you.
