We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Rugimbana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, what do you attribute your success to?
As a workaholic by nature, I often struggle to balance a work/home lifestyle, especially with such a busy schedule. When I first started out 5 years ago, I found working around the clock to secure clients was important and so I came up with a routine in order to reach clients around the world. I would send up to 100 emails a day, complete follow ups and target specific, individuals and brands that would align with BMRPR.com. However, now I’ve been able to grow my brand and business over the years and secure steady, major clients, I do see the benefit in creating boundaries to be able to get proper rest and operate at the highest level possible to secure results. So, I would certainly agree that the most important factor, is not only working smarter, but also taking the necessary rest to avoid overworking yourself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Born and raised in Australia, and being able to develop relationships in America with all of my major clients being American based has been a challenge, but one that I’m so proud of! Obviously living in a different time zone and having to cater to American clients, means I have had to work throughout the evenings and night to get results, attend meetings and more, which has not been easy but it’s been worth the challenge. Coming from a different culture, it’s also been a challenge being able to relate to clients, but I’ve been able to develop great relationships with people and formulate wonderful business relationships over the years. BMRPR was built from the ground up by myself and is currently a flourishing public relations agency with over 10 clients. We currently work with individuals and brands and continue to grow each year, with the best yet to come for our team and clients!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I reside in the city of Brisbane, Australia which is also the capital of the Sunshine State! Our city is beautiful and we have beaches 45 minutes away. Brisbane is known for our beautiful restaurants to wine and dine, cute coffee spots, Brisbane markets, museums, notable festivals and areas to spend time at throughout the city, including parks, botanical gardens, man made beaches and more. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Over the years, my father has been the pinnacle of support in my life both in business and personally, and without his mentorship, support, love and encouragement, it wouldn’t have been possible to continue the business and grow my brand over the years. At the beginning of my career, my mentor and at the time national publicist, Penelope Jean was able to provide me with the tools and advice needed to build my business, secure clients and more in public relations. She was also able to provide me with opportunities as an intern and supported the growth of BMRPR – so I want to give a very special shout out to Penelope! As BMRPR began to develop with more clients, having the opportunity to work with major recording artists has been the highlight of creating exposure for the business. Arnold Taylor of South Coast Music Group has been a great support and provided me with an opportunity to work with his business and grow the label – so with his support, I’ve been able to generate great opportunities for clients around the world in both music and other industries.
