We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is my optimism. No matter the circumstances and odds, I truly believe I can do anything if I apply myself and give one hundred percent. My brand succeeds due to me being true to my identity. Oscar Wilde said it best, “Be yourself for everyone else is taken.” I speak affirmations over myself and my business daily to feed my spirit. Living in a society where authenticity is rare, I must stay true to myself and be an example for the next generation possibly watching me.

Please tell us more about your business. What sets you apart from others? How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome challenges? What lessons did you learn along the way? What do you want the world to know about you or your brand’s story?
B. Winsome was born due to a common issue that’s overlooked in the hair industry, hair loss. My team and I partnered up with a trichologist and dermatologist, both hair specialists, to assist and direct clients to receive the healthiest and wealthiest hair. Men and women are suffering from hair loss now due to hormones, their diet, and environmental factors. They are willing to spend as much money necessary for temporary fixes instead of seeking professional help. We take pride in educating our clients and finding solutions to their hair problems versus just styling their hair. As the CEO, I continuously do the research about the hair industry and read books on how to run a successful business.

The journey of being an entrepreneur has not been easy. I started out with no background in business nor marketing. Majority of the challenges I faced were based off my “elaborate” method of trial and error. When I finally read the book “The Richest Man of Babylon,” my mindset and strategy on conquering success changed. I learned to delegate areas of my business to experts and put my energy into my passions. Best decision I ever made! Every day has offered new lessons and shown me I am talented in so many ways.

I want to share with the world who I am outside of my business. I, Bianca Lee, am a resilient woman who appreciates the arts, nature, and traveling the world. I am entrepreneur as well as a flight attendant. I’ve had the privilege to travel this world and visit over 30 countries in the past ten years. My desire to capture moments and memories over the years is what led me to explore the world of photography. I enjoy using my family and friends as my muses when I create my own art. I can’t wait to open a space and content studio for other creatives to explore their dreams. Just remember I said it here first…

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, brunch is definitely happening lol. A few of my favorite spots are Egg Harbor Café and Atlanta Breakfast Club. Outdoor shopping is a must, so I’ll show them around Ponce City Market and Atlantic Station. I’d take them to our local attractions such as the High Museum of Art, National Center for Civil and Human Rights, GA Aquarium, World of Coca Cola, and Culture Experience ATL. The City of Atlanta is known for their events and festivals held all year round. One of my favorite festivals is the Cherry Blossom Festival and ONE Music Fest! Local vendors ranging from food trucks to small businesses showcase their specialties and allow us to experience what they have to offer. If they want to enjoy a casual game night, we can visit The Painted Duck, Punch Bowl Social, Puttshack, and/or Escape Rooms. Night life is a whole vibe in my city! I enjoy a great night of bar hopping and Edgewood Ave is where we would go! We have plenty of options of lounges and nightclubs, but only go if it’s your type of scene.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Most definitely, this shoutout is dedicated to my late Aunt Patricia Culpepper. She was my first client, salon buddy, and only trusted me to experiment with her hair. I truly miss the days where “Miss Thang” would prance around the house and go to every room to showcase the looks we created. It was her words of encouragement that led me to enroll into beauty school to become a cosmetologist. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of my program when she passed away. My motivation for my success now is to make my aunt proud and keep my promise. To my family and friends who are supporting my dreams and my business, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Please believe me when I say, “When I win, we all win.”
