We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Brooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born and raised in Aiken SC with my mother who was a single parent. The way my background and upbringing impacted who I am today was seeing things I didn’t want to go through. It was also me creating or being put in situations I know I was better than. I kept this “IDC” mindset because at that time nobody could tell me nothing. I remember being looked down on by people close to me. They said sticks and stones will break your bones, but words will never hurt. That’s not the truth. I remember the pain I felt from that, and turning that pain into achievements. They say the best revenge is to prove everyone wrong with growth, that’s what I did. I thank God for counting me in when there was people who counted me out.. I have now created my own family, accomplishing things left to right, and showing the two little people I’m now leading that the sky is the limit. I’m now breaking Generational Curses.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am most excited about getting a two year degree in Business Management in only a year. I am most proud just becoming a Business Owner, Bestselling Author, and a Certified Notary in the State of Georgia. How I got where I am today in the “Author World”was writing books. What started off as a Facebook challenge, turned into me becoming a Bestselling Author, which turned into me starting my own publishing company, “MBK Publishing Company LLC.” My company is named after me and my children (Michael, Bianca, Kimora) because they wasn’t old enough to be added to my LLC. I became a Certified Notary by researching and taking the proper steps I needed to take my Oath. I overcame the challenges I had and still have at times by researching, fixing my mistakes, and continuing to believe in myself. The big lesson I learned along the way is to keep going. You are going to have difficult obstacles, but don’t let it dictate the route you’re taking to be successful. I want the world to know that whatever you set your mind and heart to you can do.! As long as you are breathing, your journey is still going. It doesn’t stop unless you stop. I was someone who at one point of time didn’t have that confidence, so it took me to believe in myself even if no one else didn’t.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a best friend visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever, I would take them to a Oceanfront Beach. How nice would it be to have dinner and drinks on the balcony while listening to the sound of the ocean having “Women Talk.” I love seafood so I’m sure we would be at almost every seafood restaurant down there lol. I am also a big kid at heart so I most definitely would be taking her to the arcades, aquariums, theme parks etc. Our hangout spots would be a jazz lounge or lounge for a nice ladies night.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shoutout God first and foremost for bringing me this far. I would also love to shoutout out my husband who has been supportive, my friend Amber who always speaks life into me as well as pray for me throughout every goal I’m wanting to achieve, and I would love to shoutout everyone who has ever supported me. A special shoutout to my sorority sisters who I have grown to love and are always positive. Pssssiiiiiii💜💚🤞🏽
