We had the good fortune of connecting with Beverly Obasiolu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beverly, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
The two habits I feel helped me to succeed would be helping others and staying organized. For most of my life, I have enjoyed helping others and it gives me self-satisfaction to know that I’ve helped someone with what they want to accomplish. Being organized is a MUST with literally everything! I must be organized to be sure that I take care of what needs to be done in order to help others; even myself.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Indulge is all about inclusivity. This is the one thing that sets me apart from others is that I want to include everyone in my events! I am proud to plan networking parties and celebratory shows for my community. How I got to where I am is by stepping out on faith and believing that what I do works. I am consistent and organized. Planning events are not easy. It takes hard work, patience, and real dedication. The lessons I’ve learned along with way is that you always need a plan C and stay on top of others when you include them in your plans. People have a life and may sometimes forget so it’s good to always stay connected with everyone. I want people to know that Indulge is here to stay and will be coming with more networking/celebratory events real soon! Website coming soon too.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. So, one spot that I do enjoy going to would be Soji Modern Asia. It’s a nice little spot for Asian food if you’re into that. I love getting seafood from a place called Acme Oyster House. A good place for drinks would be The River Room downtown Baton Rouge.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shout out to Kenyetta Robvias, CEO of Cultural Beauty, LLC. She has helped Indulge Events behind the curtains throughout the entire planning of the show and deserves recognition for everything she has contributed.
