Meet Bellogod | Artist & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bellogod and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bellogod, why did you pursue a creative career?
The fact that it’s a principled and crazy world and also at the same time a free world , art expresses how flexible life can be to its peak without having to worry about nothing because it also don’t remind you how crazy the world is at least , so you swim in a crocodile pond like it was the safest place because you don’t need to think about the crocodiles if you enjoy watching different colors of fish in the same pond. My love for music and also me realizing that creating a piece of art was one of best things I could do without getting tired or bored , I figured out it might be what is made for me because, we all as humans have different abilities of doing different things and so my ability to create art without having any particular experience buh can do it so well and effortless made me just kept it as a career and also one thing most people don’t know about art is , when you trying to make people happy by creating music for example, you end up enjoying yourself much more than the audience that listens to your music and I want to keep it as such .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
To be precise, Bellogod is a musical artist, songwriter, and performer from the west coast of Africa (Ghana).

I’m an Afrobeat artist who’s been on this journey for a while now and feels like raising the bar this year, so I’m dropping a self-titled EP on the 21st of March, 2024. It feels good to be here, but it feels much better to be here as Bellogod, and I’m proud.

It wasn’t easy for me to choose this career without having no funds, support, and an investor; music doesn’t pay from the start.

It’s not a job that can generate little funds for you from the start to be able to reinvest and keep it moving, so me starting without a team and an investor from the very beginning was a very, very tough decision on the journey. Still, luckily, I came across Captured Atl Records, and things are moving smoothly now.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ll take them to Ghana guys , that’s where you see everything ,eat everything and feel everything too Ghana is a country that need to be studied, I’ve been in few different countries but can’t be compared to Ghana in terms of food , living, energy and every other thing you’ll wish to see before you leave this planet earth so I’ll take them to Ghana definitely..
The reason why I said Ghana is I grew up in Ghana and there haven’t been a single day I regretted being born there .
The world was supposed to be fun and Ghana will give you that .
And also the most beautiful and interesting people to see to me I’ll say is the “Fulani’s “ in the northern part of Ghana, despite life hasn’t been treating them fairly, they seems not care and enjoy themselves more than everyone other billionaires you can think of , they have a party and a tribe dancing day which they sit in a circle form with fire set in the middle with dancers entertaining them, its so amazing to see because it tells you , not only money brings hippiness but it’s actually a free of charge.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
CAPTURED ATL RECORDS which is my label and at the same time my home is definitely going to be first , I’ve been doing music for a while now but haven’t gotten a chance to spread it across the world but this people gave me a chance to do that and it means a lot to me . Wherever my manager is at the moment, I wanna tell him I love and appreciate him so much . Few days of being in my life a lot has changed and a lot still keeps changing I’m glad we met .
