We had the good fortune of connecting with Bella Rareworld and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bella, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Despite the progress in destigmatising mental health, there’s still lots of work to be done to raise awareness that there is no shame “to talk” about mental health struggles. We all have a mental health, just like we have a physical health, no difference. We need to encourage others to admit when they’re not feeling OK. Finding the words to share how you are feeling for the first time can be a difficult but a rewarding road to cross over the rainbow. Did you know? One in four people in the world will be affected by mental disorders, a mental health problem or challenge at some point in their lives (Source;World Health Organization).

What should our readers know about your business?
My brand is Think Tenacity which started as a podcast. Providing an online platform to support business owners and entrepreneurs who struggle with mental health whilst running a business. This Summer 2021, we will launch online mentoring and courses. As the founder of Think Tenacity, I know firsthand the challenges running a networking business as a professional speaker with mental health struggles. I was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder 13 years ago at the start of my entrepreneurship. Everyday is a constant battle managing symptoms of bipolar disorder and running a business at the same time. I overcame a challenging time during a difficult bipolar episode, when I was in a very dark place of severe depression and mania. I could not get out of bed for months and felt there was no hope. By accident, I discovered a passion to become a podcaster and became one with no podcasting skills. I kept fighting and said to myself, “Hey Bella start to focus on what you can control” I moved fast because I did not want to lose this tiny motivational thought and that’s how Think Tenacity was born. Creating the brand was easy for me because the brand values are organic, tenacity is my middle name. Despite being mentally ill, I have the skill of tenacity and never give up. Event organizers hire me as a mental health speaker to share my story on how I got from A -B with mental health struggles, I hope to inspire others never to give up on their business dreams.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live a stone’s throw from London’s iconic Notting Hill however, each time I give a tour of this wonderful colourful neighbourhood and choice of coffee shops it still amazes me. When my friends are in town, I get a burst of excitement to give a grand tour. Ahead of time, I always send my best friend a text to remember three important things. (1) Wear the most comfortable shoes (2) “This is no time for dieting” because we will be hitting the best coffee shops in town (3) Be sure you have enough memory on your phone for IG photos. We will begin our magical adventure creating massive FOMO, touring historic scene sites from the film Notting Hill. Procrastination follows as we struggle to choose one my many favourite coffee shops for latte and a cake. Walking through Portobello Road market we feel the energy of the eclectic street market. Our next stop is the tour of 22 Lansdowne Crescent, Notting hill once lived by the rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix. To end the tour we experience an Instagrammer’s dream as we walk down the quirky Notting Hill streets to adore the rainbow coloured townhouses. Enjoying the opulence whilst snapping away taking IG photos like a pro.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The founder of The Brand Bucket Company Ltd, Barnaby Wynter deserves credit and recognition in my story. He is my brand mentor for over 10 years and was aware of my mental health diagnosis, bipolar disorder from day one. It’s an emotional feeling of joy and happiness that my mentor never judged me based on my mental health condition. Instead he always saw me as “just Bella”, a girl who had a dream to be a successful female entrepreneur. He continues to remind me, tenacity is my greatest skill for success and managing my mental illness. During many dark days, Barnaby Wynter would remind me not to give up. Along, adding a bit of humour to difficult conversations. I can always count on my mentor to turn my upside down frown into a smile. Thank you Barnaby.
