We had the good fortune of connecting with Beautiful Vision Events and Decor Center Aniesia Douglas, Camesha Richardson and Nearra Coleman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beautiful Vision Events and Decor Center, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

Our thought process behind creating our business was to secure our spot in life! We wanted to have something that our family could participate in and would create an outlet for our children to pursue in the future as well. We were/are focused on being great examples of how hard work can be fun and exciting!

What I love about us is that we are more than cousins. We are wives, mothers and innovative women who have taken our different talents and combined them to create BVE&DC. We are creating the designs and decor out of love. We love what we do and love each other.

As mothers we can find ourselves being selfless, losing ourselves, and sacrificing what makes us happy. However, as cousins we found that DIY projects and creating events that exceeds the vision of our clients brings us great joy. It’s not a job, it’s something we love and enjoy doing!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The things that set us apart from others is the fact that we are dedicated to more than just executing your event. We are interested in developing lasting relationships and building rapport for a lifetime. We want our clients to come back for every event.

We are excited for our business to thrive as we continue to grow as a family and as business professionals. From a professional aspect, we were able to get here by years of brainstorming with one another and finally taking a leap of faith! We dedicated time, energy and utilized our research skills to be certain we would be able to achieve our dream. We also took notice of the changes in the market around us and decided how we could shine with the level of services we could provide.

The thing that we want the world to know is that our brand is a bigger representation of who we are because we are family. We are working to leave a legacy for our children and to help them develop an entrepreneurial spirit as well. We want to set an example of how work doesn’t have to feel like work if you love what you do!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Our itinerary would consists of the following: Breakfast at Barneys, Iron Age, Two Urban Licks and Buena Vida Tapas and Sol.

We would visit a local park in Atlanta for a picnic setup by BVE&DC, take a trip to Ponce City Market for fun and roof top views as well as visit Candytopia and later ride bikes on the Atlanta Beltline at sunset!

My guest would also leave Atlanta feeling inspired to change the world after stopping by the historical spots along Auburn Ave and the Martin Luther King Center.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would love to give a shoutout to all of our family and friends that have supported our Vision and helped us soar. We love and appreciate the encouragement and blessings that each of you have provided. Thank you to our children that have inspired us to continue to grow and be leaders before you each and every day.

Also, shoutout to our photographers Raven Smith and Zuri Richardson for your patience during our photo sessions!
