We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbara Bueno and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Barbara, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
At Saint Coxinha we strive for the best, we relentlessly try multiple recipes before launching a product. We want to make sure our customers experience the authentic Brazilian taste of our food as if they were in Brazil, we carefully selected ingredients that we could find locally without compromising the taste. We focus a lot on the customer and do our best to make their experience unforgettable. I work very long days, often 7 days a week in order to ensure customer satisfaction, our goal is to have every person in America to experience our food. Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As Brazilians who love Brazilian food, it brings us great pride and gratitude to be able to share our culture and flavors with the American community, and this is why we founded Saint Coxinha, to share the most loved Brazilian appetizer with everybody around us, our food is meant to create moments with people we love. We designed a product that uses my family’s recipe, passed down from generation to generation, and we adapted in a way that everybody can cook it in the comfort of their home using an oven or an air-fryer. We are proud to be the first Coxinha manufacturing company to receive the wholesome USDA seal of approval that ensures that our customers will receive a pristine product. We are happy and excited that we created a frozen product that we can share with the whole Nation, we positioned ourselves in a way that we can have our products delivered in the vast majority of the USA territory in 3-4 days. The journey was not easy, and to be completely honest, it gets more challenging by the minute. More responsability, new challenges you name it, I still think about giving up often, my inner strength and support system helps me to stay on track. I have learned that I am stronger and more capable that I once imagined. I now set goals and priorities as it is easy to get distracted, I had to elevate and leverage all my skills to run my business and know I still have a lot to learn, staying humble is a huge part of staying in the path of growth, not only professional but personal as well. I want my brand to be recognized as a unifier, a gathering opportunity for everyone to feel welcomed and loved, create memorable moments of togetherness that are memorable with people we love and want to connect with.Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
After picking up my friend on a Friday night I would immediately take her to dinner on my favorite restaurant in Buckhead, Maggianos Little Italy knocks it out of park, it is a must stop for any of my visitors. Their Mozzarella marinara is my favorite appetizer, however choosing my pasta pose an interesting challenge, there are so many good options that is difficult to name one, before leaving I would encourage her to order their Tiramisu. After a good restoring night we sleep in until late in the morning and head to Cafe Intermezzo in Midtown, I would not feel guilty of having one of their delicious cakes in the morning. I would then take her into a relaxing walk on Piedmont Park and maybe adventure on the scooters around the beltline. On Sunday it would nice to visit the Atlanta Aquarium, it is an unbelievable place with incredible marine life, it is stunning and it never disappoints.Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Along the way my husband’s support and encouragement has been incredibly important for my journey, I had to overcome a lot of obstacles, whenever I just started to think about giving up he would give me a boost of energy and reminded me that I am capable of accomplish whatever I set my mind to. Batista is another person that had my back, he opened the door of his factory where I am still located to this day, his partnership and generosity enabled my business to flourish sooner.
