We had the good fortune of connecting with B. Will and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi B., why did you decide to pursue a creative path?

From an early age, I’ve been deeply passionate about creativity, whether through audio or visual mediums. Growing up with a single mother, I didn’t always have the resources for studio time or formal courses, so I became self-taught out of necessity. As a teenager, I surrounded myself with friends who shared my creative drive, and together we learned and grew.

Despite the conventional advice to seek out a more secure career, my passion for creativity was something I couldn’t easily set aside. I channeled my inherent hustle into finding ways to monetize my talents. Over time, I realized that my true strength lay in communication—be it through writing, music, storytelling, or visual arts. Understanding that I was a natural communicator allowed me to refine this skill further, leading me to achieve milestones that many of my peers have yet to reach.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Currently, I have the privilege of serving as the Vice President of Marketing for a Christian-based company, and I also express my faith through my work as a Christian artist and influencer. I see these roles as tremendous blessings and opportunities to honor God, and I approach them with deep gratitude. For years, I struggled to understand my true calling, but I’ve reached a point where I am fully embracing my purpose and living in obedience to the Lord. It has taken me almost 12 years to grasp that my success is not rooted in worldly achievements but in my identity in Christ alone.

In 2016, God gave my wife and me a vision that led us to move from Washington, DC, to Atlanta, Georgia. At the time, we had no clear direction or job prospects, but our faith in God was unwavering. We had moments where we didn’t know how we would pay rent or provide for our children, and I vividly remember a period when we faced the prospect of losing everything, even considering living in a shelter or our car. Yet, through it all, God remained faithful, providing and guiding us through every challenge.

My background as an insurance agent, where I worked solely on commission, taught me resilience and optimism. I experienced both significant successes and challenging setbacks, including months where we were recognized as top brokers in Atlanta & was rewarded to tropheys and others where we came home to our water being shut off. These experiences were invaluable for my personal and spiritual growth.

Today, my work in music and marketing is infused with a profound sense of gratitude for how far the Lord has brought me. Everything I create is intended to reflect the truth that Christ is the ultimate vision-giver. I want others to know that no matter how distant you may feel from your goals, God is always closer than you think. If you continue to believe and persevere, His plans for you will come to pass.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is an incredible city with a lot to offer, whether you’re looking to relax, explore, or kick off some memorable road trips. One of my top recommendations is Fellini’s, my go-to spot for delicious pizza. From there, I’d suggest heading to Ponce City Market to soak up the vibrant atmosphere. While it might seem cliché, Lenox Mall is a must-visit for any guest; it’s an iconic part of the Atlanta experience, even if it can get a bit hectic. Another family favorite is Taco Mac, known for its great food and casual vibe. And no visit would be complete without checking out the city’s many festivals, which add a unique and festive touch to Atlanta’s cultural scene throughout the year.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive inspiration and support from many incredible people and resources, both near and far. While there are countless individuals who have contributed to my journey, I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge a few who have been particularly impactful.

First and foremost, I want to express my deep gratitude to my wife, Imari Williams. From the age of 18, Imari has been my unwavering supporter, friend, and driving force. Over the past 12 years, she has shown me the importance of authenticity and being true to oneself. Her steadfast love through both dark days and bright moments has taught me the value of unconditional love. Imari may have a gentle demeanor, but her words carry profound weight, and her presence has been a constant affirmation that our journey together is far from over. For that, I am eternally grateful.

I also want to honor my mother, Regina. She has been my biggest supporter and a guiding force in my life. The lessons she imparted, often unknowingly, continue to resonate with me. Most importantly, I am deeply appreciative for her introduction to The Lord. Despite the challenges posed by my father’s frequent absences and shifting beliefs, my mother remained steadfast in her faith. Her unwavering prayers and dedication played a crucial role in my spiritual journey, even during times when I struggled with my own beliefs. My mother’s silent yet persistent faith has been a cornerstone in my return to God, and she will forever be a hero in my story.

Finally, I want to give a special shoutout to Jackie Hill-Perry and Preston Perry. Although I’ve only connected with them from a distance over the past two years, this inspiring couple has demonstrated what it means to be true disciples of God. Their teachings and righteous living have profoundly influenced my relationship with Christ, and I am grateful for the growth I’ve experienced through their biblical insights. Even though I don’t know them personally, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank them and share their impact with others.
