Meet B Moore | Fashion Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with B Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi B, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted something no one could take from me, something to call my own. In this life I wasn’t dealt the best hand (though it’s something I never complain about) that came with a lot of loss e.g. losing both of my parents before age 25. I had a lot to express. Which made me create, first it was music something I had done for years. I was pretty good even won a few competitions and sat in rooms with celebrities, but it wasn’t fulfilling. I then began to realize fulfillment in a way I would get excited about getting dressed for a video shoot or photoshoot. I found fulfillment in the way I saw celebrities dressed for the Met Gala and Paris Fashion week those were the things that spoke to my soul. I started watching shows like Next In Fashion and Project Runway. I knew I loved creating and I knew I loved working with my hands. My partner let me use her sewing machine I brought fabric and I watched endless “how to” videos lol. When I created my first pair of shorts I knew this is what I’m here to do. Express and inspire in this way, through fashion. My brand Stand On Loyalty (SOL) name comes from a conversation with me and my best friend while expressing our loyalty to each other. I took that bond and the skill I’d just learned that both fulfilled me and turned it into a brand .
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the founder of Stand On Loyalty ( SOL), an American luxury influenced fashion label . SOL not only creates its own table but it starts the conversation. Everything from the garments to the campaigns to the models embodies confidence, resilience, curiosity, culture and sophistication. I would have to admit my most proud moments were seeing my thoughts and ideas; my visions, become tangible. Witnessing my own growth in patience, and understanding of the fashion industry and business itself helped strengthen the brand. I’m excited all over again just talking about it, but in no way was the journey easy. I had to keep getting up after every obstacle that knocked me down. I had to keep rebuilding my finances after every investment went downhill. I want this more than I desire anything else this world has to offer. The money invested has no value to the goal I’ve set out to accomplish. Along the way I’ve learned to stay open minded, trust the people you invited to help you , remain a student, be optimistic, listen, use what you learn and I’m still learning. I want the world to know I’m not perfect and I know this but I am progressing each day and so is my brand Stand On Loyalty (SOL) .
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well in my case I just moved to ATL almost 2 years ago . I’m big on food lol I love eating and I love dope environments so we would definitely check out Milk and Honey , The Belt-line , Painted Duck , go Shopping , E Ramen, and & Cheese ATL to name a few.
