We had the good fortune of connecting with B Moment and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi B, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
I know that it may sound odd. But the biggest risk that I have taken is to invest in myself. It wasn’t an easy decision. Especially when you’ve always worked for someone else. The fear of the unknown can be an extreme source of trepidation. The time, money, energy, commitment and dedication that it takes can be overwhelming at times. However, when you make that first sale… WOW!!! Exhilarating!! All worth it!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think one of the most important lessons that I have learned is that if you love what you do… It’s not a job! It is almost therapeutic. I must say how peaceful the creative process of the business is. I truly enjoy making the organizers. The whole process is extremely calming. And the finished product is simply gorgeous. It’s a wonderful feeling to step back and see your job well done. Another great lesson I have learned is to keep growing/expanding. It was somewhat stressful adding the seasonal gift bags and the EARRING QUEEN line. Which consists of Afrocentric pride earrings and stretch bracelets. Stressful yet gratifying. An added bonus… the gratification hits different when it’s your own company!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are a few musts when visiting Atlanta. The SkyView Ferris wheel to catch the stunning view of the city. The Martin Luther King center, it speaks for itself. The Fernbank museum. The museum of contemporary art. And one can decompress and try some Buffalo at Ted Montana’s Grill! Calming atmosphere and really good food.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
