We had the good fortune of connecting with B. Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi B., can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind my business was, what could I do that involves entertainment that I’m starting to be known for. At this time I Had already unknowingly hosted my first wedding reception, starred in my first stage play, opened for a comedian, and did my first stand up comedy show. So I thought long and hard, I also prayed before going to bed. I seen it all in a dream from hosting events, to stand up comedy, and acting. All down to my business name, B. Jones Entertainment. The B in B. Jones is from my childhood nickname “Bud” and Jones is my mothers maiden name plus I wanted to pay homage to my late great grandmother, Betty Jean Jones.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets me from the rest is that I’m genuinely myself, and I remain humble. Some people who might not know me might seem that it’s a act or something I’m trying to do. But I’ve been a character all my life. Naturally funny, and always enjoying life. I get where I’m at today because of God, everyone who supports me, and my drive to never give up! When I played high school football there was a saying we always said “Never back down, never give up, and never lose faith!”” All these years that has stuck with me. Was it easy, absolutely not! There are days and trying times that I NEVER care to speak of. I’ve been through things that most of my family don’t know about. All I seen was the bigger picture. I’m from a small town in Florida called Bronson, Fl, and I left everything I knew, everyone I love to move to the big city of Atlanta. I’m no where near where I want to be but I’ve taken many steps to be proud of. My most proud moments are when I hosted for a Sunday day party at OLG owned by Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker. Big thanks to Patrick Knight for the opportunity. Another proud moment was when I was in a lifetime movie called Single Black Female, I’ve also starred in a stage play call “this family sho is crazy!” Even though these projects aren’t out yet, I’ve filmed with Tyler Perry for Ruthless, Sistas, and the Oval. I’m excited about that because he is one of my idols in this industry. I learned that you can go through trying times but if you have breath in your body the next day, you have time to keep going. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I want the world to know everything about B. Jones Ent. I want B. Jones to be a household name. I will be that star actor, I Will be one of the top event host in the nation, and i will be one of the top comedians. I manifest it all!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of the spots I enjoy in Atlanta are OLG, Frost Bistro, Harold’s chicken & waffles, cru lounge, fins and feathers, social lounge, boogaloo, spice house, Nouveau grill. These are a few places you’ll catch me at

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate this shoutout to my family. Especially my mother, Tangier Wiggins. My uncle whom I call my father, Franklin Kilroy Schuler. My second mother, Shirley Schuler. My Godmother/Aunt Sharon Dee Thomas. My late Great grandmother Carrie Goldwire. Late Grandmother Alice Pinkney. I have many people who have been in my corner but these are the ones who instilled so much into me from birth. I would also like to recognize my Godsister Shawna “Boom” White, she is a standup comedian out of Gainesville, Florida who brought me into comedy. Honestly without her push, I probably wouldn’t have started B. Jones Entertainment.
