We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayuna Anthony and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ayuna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My goal wasn’t really in the beginning to start my own business. My goal was just to let people know more about F.A.I.T.H. and how to Find Acceptance In The Hardships when it comes to personal life situations when they seen my shirt. after a while, it started to become bigger than I thought so that’s when I started doing apparel etc. I’ve been blessed every since and that’s what made me start my own business.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My brand came from personal trials and tribulations that happened in my life. In April of 2019, my life changed forever. The situation had me thinking to myself why is life the way that it is. It pushed me more into my F.A.I.T.H in GOD and I’ve been going hard for it every since. I think what sets me apart from others is me not settling for what others think I should do but doing what’s best for means the brand. I’m mostly proud of my brand because it changed my life tremendously and still is. F.A.I.T.H without works is dead, so I definitely wouldn’t have came this far as I have today without it . I’ve definitely learned that in this business it’s not a cake walk. It’s like walking on hot coals until you reached the other side and baby I’m tip toeing lol. At the end of the day I’m just grateful.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
it’s so many things to do in Nashville,Tn I wouldn’t even know where to start lol. Monday we definitely chilling with me of course. Tuesday is taco Tuesday so we definitely doing taco with a twist. Wing Wednesday would be at Strike Out. RnB Thursday definitely pull up at ambrosia. Friday night might slide to Willie Bs or Pharaohs lounge. Saturday we out in the city ALL DAY from Slim and Husky’s, Minerva, WKND, Donks, Nirvana and so much more. Sunday is Brunch of course and the place to be is the Garden Brunch Cafe. All these places are black owned of course. There are many other places that I can’t name them all.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love first to give honor to GOD who is the head of my life and the blueprint behind this brand. I would also love to thank my mother who was the main motivation behind me pushing this. Next, My better half Marcus Law, who is up with me late nights early mornings. He helps me create new content, keeps me focused, my biggest support and more. I would also like to think my family and friends as well for the extra push and support without y’all I’m nothing.
