We had the good fortune of connecting with Aylin Marsella and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aylin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success as an artist/ creative is never giving up– as cliche as that sounds. Oftentimes, creatives begin a project or perhaps a creative endeavor with tons of motivation and inspiration. However, when it comes to adopting a mindset and lifestyle of discipline and consistency, this is when many creatives lose the spark for their project. Though it can be difficult to find the willpower to continue to follow your dreams without immediate reward, it is imperative in order to achieve success and manifest career opportunities in your field.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I believe sets me apart from other actresses is my understanding of universal connection and consciousness. I truly believe that we are all connected in some aspect and many of us have experienced similar life events that have invoked strong emotions in our lifetimes— even if our circumstances are entirely different. This allows for me to be able to see beyond the characters, beyond their personal life stories, and instead find commonalities that allow for me to be able to channel the emotion necessary to tell their story through my own life experiences and expressions. This makes for a raw and authentic performance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend is visiting town, I will always recommend a play or a hike. I adore to see creativity and passion- in nature, in art, in everything. I love seeing beauty in art and in the world around me and I love being able to experience that with a friend as well.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have worked with and fortunately have had an amazing support system around me since the beginning. However, I would love to give a shoutout to Truce Media and the amazing cast and crew that I worked with on “The Flamingo Effect”. They are an amazing group of talented, passionate, and fun-loving individuals who worked diligently to ensure that Julie Jackson, the amazing director’s, vision came to life in this heartwarming film. I portrayed the role of Sage; a caring, loving, and spiritual best friend to the main character Ava– who after getting cancelled on the internet, goes through a profound spiritual awakening and ego death with the help of her friend Sage.
