Meet Ayana Nelson | Serial Entrepreneur & Event Space Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayana Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ayana, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Faith without work is dead” is my favorite quote and has helped me on my journey to success. You can have faith and pray all day for success, but you must be hungry and put the work in in order to see the results that you want out of life.
What should our readers know about your business?
Hi!, My name is Ayana Nelson, I am a serial Entrepreneur located on the southside of Atlanta, Georgia. I began my entrepreneur Journey a few years back at the beginning of 2018. It was then that I made the decision to take my passions to another level which is how Serenity Quality Care LLC. was established. I have been specialized in home care for several years. I have worked hard as an employee under other companies from the beginning of my career. Which was necessary in order to gain and build skills and experience as a care giver. It is important to have the proper training because it is such a delicate field. by no means is it ever easy to start a business from ground up per- say, but I personally set plans and break them down into achievable goals. The key is consistency and dedication. As an entrepreneur you must have a plan, and realistic goals in order to move forward with your vision. A step at a time. I do not mean drag your feet and procrastinate, but be realistic so you can accomplish goals and be successful. Many people start a business without a real plan and they fail because they didn’t understand the actual work required to operate and function properly. I refuse to fail therefore, I continue to make revisions if necessary but I keep working towards my goals
The magnitude in which my heart desires to be of aid to others is unexplainable! I believe my purpose in life is to pay forward my blessings by helping & supporting others. I am building a platform where not only I can be successful but I believe others will have the opportunity to deliver their visions as well.
Good Vybz Event Hall is my most recent endeavor as I continue to grow and influence! It is located at 1256 Hwy 138 SW, Riverdale , GA 30296. It is a comfortable 2500 sq.ft space for many different occasions from small & intimate to broad & public. My doors are open to my community and I welcome private and public settings. As I mentioned before, I have teamed up with Tosha at Journey Design Agency & Events. We are working on releasing some community plans as well. We will be out in the community introducing Good Vybz to everyone, including but not limited to schools, other businesses and city representatives. I want Good Vybz to be just that- “Good Vibes”! No matter the occasion. I want it to be a place of inclusion. I am striving for that family feel. I envision Good Vybz being that place in Riverdale, GA that all of the neighbors patronize and enjoy! I accept & answer to all inquiries within 24 hours. Any inquiries can be sent to Goodvybzeventhall@gmail.com, I am also on Facebook & Instagram @goodvybzeventhall. I offer an event hall for any occasion.
I am most proud of myself for implementing my plan and sticking to it. It took discipline in order to get where I am now. In addition to mastering a written plan I do a great deal of networking to build my sphere. I host pop up shops to bring together other like minded small business owners with the goal of helping each other and evolving our brands! I am also very active in many Facebook groups. I must admit, social media has been the biggest challenge but it is a requirement in today’s world of business. I continue to challenge myself in overcoming that minor obstacle by maintaining relevant attendance. I join discussions and introduce myself on a daily basis. I have learned during my journey that it truly does make a difference when you are passionate about what it is that you are doing. I am very precise with decision making. one piece of advice that I have that works excellent for me is; WRITE IT DOWN! you have to manifest your vision. Write down all your thoughts, goals, plans etc. even if you are out in public, take out your phone and write a note or text yourself. It helps streamline your overall plans. Believe in you and you will be successful.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has so much to offer and so many dope people here representing and building brands it is always tough making decisions on where to go because you will always be missing out on something great no matter the choice. I do however, enjoy supporting other small businesses at pop ups around the city. Every single pop up is amazing. You can literally find everything you want or need by doing what I like to call Pop up crawls aka pop up hop. From food & drinks, to clothes & jewelry! I find them to be all inclusive parties. I also enjoy the food and experiences at Tom, Dick, & Hank, Fins & Feathers, and Milk & Honey.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate Good Vybz shoutout to God first & foremost because he continues to bless me during my entrepreneurship journey! My children; Serenity & Tyshawn, My better half Tyshawn is the core of my motivation to keep moving forward. Then of course my family & friends is a great load of support as I continue to scale my business. I will also like to shoutout Tosha, CEO of Journey Design Agency & Events. She is genuinely a mastermind with excellent ideas & plans for Good Vybz. We have some upcoming collaborations ahead that I am proud & excited about! I encourage all of my supporters to be in tune as Good Vybz soar tremendously. Follow us on Instagram @GoodVybzeventhall & @journeydesignagency_events
