We had the good fortune of connecting with Aubridginey Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aubridginey, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Pheww!! The thought process behind starting my business comes into play as being mother of three and expecting my fourth, a military wife husband away on duty and work was just so hard to balance in a new state and sure family to help with childcare, because in the corporate world jobs do not cater to the terms of family and trying to see about family and a job working with you is something that just doesn’t happen, so I had to put my dreams into play and go off faith and just go for it! At an early age I knew I was going to be my own boss because I just couldn’t fathom always working hard to fatten someone else’s pockets. So my husband Dedric introduced the name to me and I put it it play with the logo and everything just continues to fall into place.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Art and creativity comes from being different. I have always stood out and been cut from a different cloth than the average. Urare Cosmetics slogan is “Real is Urare”. Nothing is wrong with being different it’s Rare. I’m excited about our growth as a business and a company From new collections and expanding the brand to other business ventures. Where we are professionally was not easy because being an entrepreneur you always have to leave room for growth and learning as well as not be afraid to fail. Lessons I have learned along the way is to take chances on your ideas not always seek the approval of outside sources, don’t let the Dream killers stop your vision. What I want the world to know about my brand is stay tuned this brand is about too take off I’m speaking multi millionaire status over my brand my story is still being written so to know me is too love me I have over come so much in life from starting things and letting people control my narrative leading too me stoping to wanting to give up but look at me now! I did it ! I took my own advice and took a chance on me at one of the lowest points in my life during Covid and being on Lock Down at Fort Bragg and having postpartum depression with 4kids  like I said I Asked God to help me and I Did It!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a travel Agent so I’m familiar with the perks and area so I would focus the area on what they like too do. We have the Lock and Key Bridge located at the Savannah River Rapids here with interaction with nature trails lunch on the lake biking and canoeing in Augusta Ga. We have Small Lady Cakes an up and coming entrepreneur herself with good pastries as well as food and entertainment we have Broad street where it’s a variety of different types of restaurants and a cuisine. I’m more of an entertainer at home so we do a lot of family entertainment my husband Dedric is the king of entertainment lord of laughter and fun. Now back Home  I’m a Thomasville Ga Native and Douglas Ga but really and truly I’m a mixer of both areas where you can find some real good eats, music, fashion and more from a lot of hard working Black entrepreneurs.
