Hi Attorney Bethaney, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
There wasn’t exactly a thought-out plan or strategy behind starting my business—it all began with my mother. My journey into this work began from a deeply personal place—helping my own mother. After she was injured in a car accident, I stepped in to represent her, determined to make sure she received the care, support, and justice she deserved. That experience opened my eyes to just how life-changing the right legal guidance can be. It ignited a passion in me to serve others with that same level of compassion, commitment, and excellence. Every client I work with is treated with the same respect, urgency, and care I gave to my mother—because to me, this work is personal.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
How did I get to where I am today? Honestly, it’s been a journey rooted in hard work, passion, and a deep commitment to helping others. I started my legal career as a Staff Attorney in the DeKalb County Superior Court, where I had the opportunity to work on a high volume of cases. That experience was truly invaluable—it gave me firsthand insight into the legal system and the challenges everyday people face when navigating it.
Today, I focus my practice on serious personal injury cases, including tractor trailer wrecks, automobile accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death. I’ve handled nearly every type of serious injury matter and have personally secured large settlements on behalf of my clients. My experience has given me a unique and comprehensive understanding of how insurance companies operate, and I use that knowledge to fiercely protect my clients’ rights and pursue the best possible outcomes for them and their families.
Along the way, I’ve been honored to be recognized as an attorney “On the Rise” by the Fulton County Daily Report and as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers. Those acknowledgments mean a lot to me, but what means even more is knowing that my clients trust me to fight for them when they need it most.
Outside of the courtroom, I stay actively involved in the legal community as well as in both the Douglasville and Atlanta areas. Giving back is important to me—I volunteer with several nonprofit organizations and proudly serve as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. When I’m not working, you can usually find me being a mom to my beautiful girls, traveling with my husband, reading a good book, or fitting in a workout.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to provide every client with sincere, skilled, and compassionate legal representation. Just 20 minutes outside of Atlanta, it has the perfect mix of hometown charm and big-city access!
