Meet Ashunta Jolly | Owner of Jolly Juice LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashunta Jolly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashunta, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
At the time I was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and I found myself at an all-natural juice bar. We decided to purchase a one-day juice detox. Listen, I had so much energy and had the best sleep of my life that night! From that moment I knew I couldn’t revert back to my old way of eating. I transitioned to a vegetarian lifestyle, then became vegan and two years later started living an alkaline lifestyle. I truly felt I was at my optimum level of health at that stage of my life. I spent so much time in the kitchen learning and experimenting with fruits and vegetables that I had never heard of growing up. I would periodically detox my body with fresh juice, herbal teas and water over a period of days. I removed alcohol from my diet and overtime reversed an abundance of health issues i accumulated over the years. From there, I cultivated Jolly Juice LLC with the main mission of helping others reclaim their power to heal themselves in the way that i did!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Jolly Juice LLC we currently provide individual cold pressed juices, detox kits and a wide selection of herbal supplements. We pour into our clients with knowledge they can use to empower themselves. I feel what sets us apart from others is the fact that we don’t attempt to force you into changing your lifestyle. We allow the clients that resonate with our mission to flow to us for our assistance. Our products are also made with alkaline ingredients which definitely sets us apart from the crowd. I’m truly proud to make a positive impact on the world because it brings me so much joy to serve others. I am still growing in business because I understand I don’t know everything. The mentors over the years have helped me reach new levels and to keep going as the seasons change. Life will always throw challenges at you, so I believe it’s about developing the psychological fortitude to keep moving forward. Honestly, the biggest challenge in business for me is self-doubt. At times I allowed my own negative thoughts to stifle my company’s growth. Listen, DO IT AFRAID or you’ll never do it! I’ve learned the importance of discernment and doing what’s best for your personal well-being. Your path will not look like anyone else’s so cultivate a healing journey that resonates with you! Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would enjoy a nice long hike at Sweet Water Creek. Next, I would easily take her to Rock Steady for excellent Caribbean cuisine and an upstairs lounge that plays old school rnb and afro beats at night. Then we would go see Sabree at Three Hoodoo Sisters to handle all our spiritual wants and needs. I’m sure we would probably wind the trip down purchasing some local goodies at some of the farmers markets on the weekend.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There have been so many amazing people in my life assisting me in growing my business, but I want to acknowledge one of my mentors Sabree who is the owner of Three Hoodoo Sisters located in Atlanta! The individual mentorship I received from her was like nothing I had ever experienced in my life! Forever grateful for this beautiful woman!
