We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashton Bray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashton, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My book “Where Did Mommy Go” can help inspire other children who lost their mom or dad not to give up and to use their words to express their feelings. It will help them to feel better about themselves.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a student in 5th grade. I wrote my first book because I was sad and in pain after my mom and uncle passed away seven days apart.

My Nana who loves to write askrd me to write down my feelings so that I could get them out and hopefully start to heal. I am confident today because many people supported me by purchasing my book and sharing it on their media pages.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Aquarium World of Coca Cola
Zoo Atlanta
The Painted Pin Bowling
Urban Air
Dave & Buster
AMC Theatre

Kiku Japanese Hibachi
Fellini Pizza
Seven Rolls Ice Cream
Waffle House
IHOP
Ruby Tuesday

Little Five Points
.Midtown
Six Flags
Park

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my Nana for Tracey Conley Bray for encouraging and motivating me to share my feelings and always being their.

I would like to thank attorney Kimberlynn Davis for helping my Nana with all of the paper work so that we can be together.

The teachers, prinicipal and counselor at Cleveland Ave Elementary for encouraging and supporting me.
