We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Walls and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Faith. Faith in myself, my dream, and most importantly God has helped me become successful and keep me on this turbulent journey that is the music industry… without faith why dream at all?

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The reason I fell in love with music was not the rhythm, the melodies, or the notes but was the meaning and emotion a song could make me feel. In my music, I want the listener to feel what I felt when I was writing that song. I get really excited when listeners at my show come up and tell me about how my song helped them get through a rough time or that they connected with a song I wrote. I also do have some news that I am excited to share. I have been working on a 9 piece album that I will be releasing sometime this year!! The album is full of love songs– songs that I was previously too scared to write because let’s be honest, love is vulnerable and telling someone how you feel gives them sooo much power. But honestly, life is way too short to be scared to open your heart up to someone just because you’re scared of being hurt.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite spots in Atlanta is the Avalon. They have the cutest coffee spot there, cafe intermezzo, where you can get the best cake and my fav espresso martinis. It’s a lot of fun to walk around and shop, ice skate, or just sit back and people watch. Another spot I would recommend is Dry County Brewing Co. They have the coolest beers and a great set up for relaxing on the weekends– sometimes even live music. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people that have led me to where I am today. My teachers, college, friends, and even strangers that have inspired songs have all impacted me tremendously. There is one group of people, however, that has continued to push me and support me while I work on building my dreams– so I would like to dedicate this shoutout to them. They are my family… my brother, twin sister, and my two parents.
